Could magic tricks (preferably cards) be used as a method to demonstrate higher value? Thank you!

Do you enjoy doing magic? Like is it a hobby or a profession of yours?

This depends on how good you are at magic. I feel that magic can be analogous to guitar playing: you have guys who can play a few songs on guitar, but aren't really musicians. After they run out of their stock of songs, they're out of material. The same goes for guys who know a few tricks but aren't proficient in sleight of hand or casual card manipulation (color changes, palms, etc). A magician can entertain a crowd with a borrowed deck for hours, while a guy who just knows a few tricks quickly runs out of material and has to put his deck/gimmicks away, possibly losing value and coming off as a clown.

The solution to this is doing a few cool tricks, then stopping with some sort of excuse "I can't show you everything tonight" or "I can't reveal all my secrets in one go" or something else that makes you seem like there's a lot more tricks up your sleeve, even if you only know one trick.

Also "Sorry, I'm not a puppy and I only give one trick per night, you're gonna have to try again later." would work well.

All depends on your frame and state. If you approach women in order to impress them with tricks then no, magic would actually be DLV because you'd be seen as a clown who is eager to please.

The best way would be to do a big trick to a group of people NEAR your target. When she hears other people gasping at your trick, she will want to know what's going and boom, she's hooked in and the audience have already sold you as DHV by being visibly impressed. Not saying approaching a girl with a trick won't work, I'm just not a fan of "looking for an excuse" to talk to a hot woman, i'm far more direct with women I want to fuck.

i do it sometimes.. just really basic stuff...but, i do it unexpected and discrete.. like in the middle of conversation.. real nonchalant like...and I'm indifferent to it afterwards.. don't want to look like I'm a performing monkey..if she's too persistent in wanting me to do more or do it again (cause when they're not ready for it, simple tricks are impressive), Ill do like something really lame like disappearing thumb...and just segue out of there to some conversation..

Just because you fancy your 'target' doesn't mean she'll fancy you no matter how many card tricks you can do. The trouble with you guys is that you punch above your weight and annoy the heck out of girls who wouldn't look at you twice. Stick to your own level. That way you won't make such a dick of yourself.

Once again, you criticise my post without saying how you would successfully approach a girl yourself. You simply say the opposite to whatever I say, but you offer no alternative. I don't care if a woman fancies me or not, but I do like the satisfaction of fucking a woman who says "you're not even my type!" You keep waiting for those IOI's bro, while I take what I want and make it happen.

You know what, you're right. We should just stop approaching women. We're only annoying them after all. Oh well, banging hot chicks was fun while it lasted. Guess I'd better stay home from now on and fap to porn

There are two times magic tricks can work as a DHV:

1) if the target (or one of her friends, not you or or your wing!) set it up. Generally this means *them* pointing out the prop. "That's a cool ring"... you can say "It's a magic ring".

If you do have items that get comments, learn a trick or 2 with them. Hats, necklaces, etc. You can do most rope and knot tricks with necklaces and some with bracelets so they're useful to have in your arsenal. Many coin tricks can be done with rings.

2) Proposition bets. see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z2GDkTS1nU These work because they're a compliance test but should only be introduced if she says "buy me a drink" or says about going to the bar. If she mentions going to the bar say "Buy me a drink if..." and introduce the bet. These are good because they're a compliance test, you can introduce kino and they get her involved.

Other than that, they come across as incredibly try hard and approval seeking. unless you a a professional magician (in which case she'll inevitably ASK to see a trick) don't randomly introduce magic tricks. It'll hurt you more than it will help you.

I actually do "Magic" (Mentalism really) for a living. It's amazing for females. I never say I read minds, I say I am a psychological expert and I can read body language ect... They immediately want you to do it to them. When you're talking about hobbies just say you're practicing a different kind of psychology. Learn 2 maybe 3 tricks and your're golden.
