Ok guys, getting back into the game after a recent break up. I got a pretty good looking gal on my hands and I wanna start by working on my text game with her. Let me know what you think so far, any advice also appreciated!

Me: Hi (name), congrats!!!

Her: What did I win? hahaha

Me: lol nerd, congrats! You now have my number ;0)

Her: Darn... I thought it was the trip for Europe I signed up for hahaha jk!

Me: Nope, sorry. No trip for you lol. But hey! I hear if you leave your shoes untied for a day youll definitely get lucky...

Her: Lucky on the floor! hahaha

Me: Ohhh so thats what they meant. Youre a smart girl. I guess I should probably retie my shoes then :P

Her: haha youre too funny!!

Later in the day

Me: Hows your day goin!?

Her: lol going good, on my way to get an oil change

Me: OMG youre a bad drive, typical chick...

Her: why? :/

Me: Youre driving and texting!

Her: haha! I am the best driver & multi tasker lol

Me: Ha! If I had a penny for every time I heard that... Wait, if I had a quarter for every... Wait, If I had $5 for every time I've heard that Id be at subway everyday for lunch.

Her: U would be Jareds best bud!

Me: Yeah, you jelly?

Her: Yes, tell him to hook me up with a Turkey Avocado sammich... lol

Me: Nope.

Her: :(

Later in the day

Me: So you were really sitting around, waiting for me to text you?

Her: I thought you chickened out on me...

Me: lol what? Im sorry I made you sit and wait, wondering if I'd get back to you. Clearly it made you sad.

Her: haha!

Her: Im stuck here getting an oil change still! :(

Me: Youre kidding!? Still there?

Her: ZZzzzzzz lol

Me: Man, you know what? My uncle worked at a dealership and he used to say that they would always keep the very pretty girls there longer...

Me: I just dont understand why youre still there though...

Her: lol... I dont either :/

Me: Hopefully you'll get the same car back.

Her: Hopefully I get a lambo!

Me: You could not even handle that!

Her: Excuse me!? :P



So thats where im at right now lol. So far so good I'd say with the push pull... lol What do you guys think?

I mean it's good texting, just seems like your not really going anywhere. Personally I would of opted for a outing as soon as possible

Careful she could make you a texting buddy I don't really see too much flirting/sexual banter

lol... Well keep in mind, she's someone I met at a bar/dance place a few nights ago. I dont wanna rush into "so hey how did you like grinding up on my dick the other night" text messages... hahaha!

I wanna get to know her a bit. She was the coolest out of the bunch.

The convo feels a bit forced from your end, but she seems to be reacting well to it.

The push-pull, trying-to-be-a-player vibe is seeping through a bit so might be a good idea to be a little more DRY, rather than sarcastic and "neggy."

The next step is to get her on a date and for you to show another dimension of yourself. Make sure you don't overdo the cocky/funny or it might get uncomfortable. She's going along with the texting because she's either being nice, or she's into you. I'd guess that she's into you.

Be balanced, show your smart/understanding side and sprinkle in a LITTLE BIT of C&F.

It's alright I'd say. Could be better but I've seen way worse. Try to insert some flirting in there... I think that's the most important thing you're missing.

i'm new to this, and this is my 1st real post, but What i would have done if you were able would have been at

i would have said something like

"I'm nearby and about to get a coffee( or something ) I'll swing by, pick you up and drop you back before its over, that way the mechanics can get to work instead of ogling you, thats my job."

not sure but in essence i think its somewhat a correct response

You're texting to put yourself in the friend zone I think. I think, with a new girl you just started texting, small talk is only gonna make you seem like a friend. Chat for a bit and tell her who you are and ask her when she's free to do lunch or coffee or drinks or whatever you feel like doing. A girl will almost always want you to pick what to do, it's just polite to ask what she wants. If she tells you then boom you don't have to impress her with a witty date idea. After the date is set, don't talk to her until the date, and let her text or call you next after the date whether its one hour one day or three days. If it's been a week, she's not worth chasing. The sooner she texts you after the date, the more she's into you. Then you can small talk with her after you're stuck in her head, instead of how she's thinking about how much her oil change is gonna cost. It's best if she gets home and is getting ready for bed and wants to talk to you. You can get playful and ask things like what she wears to bed and play about how cute she would be in one of your dress shirts blah blah.

I think it depends on the girl honestly. If this is a HB8 that is younger and a party girl than yeah he is. If this is some average but still cute looking girl, that is looking to balance out her mundane week with a new dude she'd date then fuck perhaps he's on the right track.

I based my comments on the text banter he provided. If this girl were looking to have sex she would initiate the sexual language. Most girls decide within the first few minutes if they will sleep with a guy (IRL) but you really have a few days of texting where the window can be open. He needs to add a little more flirty convo into his texting if he wants her to know he is interested in her in a sexual way. I understand that not all girls or styles are going to work 100% of the time, but in this case there is no "flirting" happening at all.

i would recommend you phone her next time, only text when its necessary. the content of your text game is pretty good though, just make sure you keep it as "man to woman" as possible, you seem a bit friendly. not the end of the world but my only critique
