Hey Guys,

So, I developed this variation on the classic "what's your favorite dinosaur" opener - so far it's worked insanely well and creates an instant trust/connection - always leads to a conversation. It's a fairly complex framework, but once you internalize it, it's fairly easy to pull off consistently. Perhaps it only works for a certain kind of personality (more intellectual types), but hopefully someone can benefit from this.

Guy: Hey, what's your favorite dinosaur?
Girl: Haha what?
Guy: I'll tell you why I'm asking in a second, but I just need a dino.
Girl: Haha, ok! T-Rex.
Guy: Nice, so I'm asking because I believe that it's possible to learn like 80% of what makes someone tick based on their favorite dinosaur. Seriously, you've just given away all your secrets.
Girl: What do you mean?
Guy: Well, let me analyze you. You said, T-Rex, right?
Girl: Yeah...
Guy: Ok so...

(NOW, PERFORM A READING, USING THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPLES. DO NOT ASK HER THESE QUESTIONS - KNOW WHICH DINOSAURS HAVE WHICH QUALITIES BEFOREHAND, AND JUST LET IT ALL ROLL OFF THE TONGUE IN SEQUENCE)

Ambitions: Is the dinosaur really tall, or more down-to-earth?

Tall or Flying: You have incredibly high ambitions. There is no limit to the horizons you see when you set goals for yourself.
Short: You tend to have more realistic goals. It does not mean that you're not ambitious – simply that you always consider the reality of the situation when setting goals for yourself.
T-Rex: Setting goals is a difficult process because you, more than most people, feel that tension between big dreams, high ambitions, and the limits that reality poses. You may be the kind of person who takes longer to choose a path in life, as you wrestle with these competing impulses.

Attitude in the pursuit of those ambitions: Is the dinosaur a plant eater or animal eater?

Plant: You are a hard-worker, but you often take a more laid-back attitude towards professional goals. You invest in your pursuits, but you are willing to take things as they come and aren't so obsessed with controlling the situation.
Animal: You are absolutely dogged in the pursuit of your goals. Once you decide you want something, you will be relentless in its pursuit. Sometimes you're a bit hard on yourself, but it's simply the outgrowth of your desire for excellence

Openness towards other people: Does the dinosaur have a long neck or not?

Long Neck: You sometimes some across as aloof, and distant. But this is simply because you're very discriminating about the people you let into your life. Once someone enters your circle of trust, you'd go to war for them.
No Long Neck: You're a very open, gregarious person, and you usually don't have much difficulty making friends. You can forge strong connections with people very quickly.

Ability to remove shitty people from life: Is the dinosaur a plant eater, or an animal eater?
Plant: You tend to invest so much in your personal relationships. This means that oftentimes, even if a relationship isn't working out, it's very difficult for you to give it up. But it makes you an extremely loyal friend and loving partner.
Animal: You have no difficulty removing people from your life who have destructive and negative tendencies. Although you are incredibly loyal to people who are loyal to you, once someone betrays your trust, you remove them from the picture.

Zen Master or Out-Of-the-Box-Thinker: Does the dinosaur stay on land, or not?
On-Land: When it comes to your attitude to your professional pursuits, you aspire to be a “zen master.” In other words, your goal is to take an established tradition, learn everything about it, master it, and perform it at the highest-level possible. You're not as concerned with challenging established belief systems, but you aspire to push yourself to your limit in your field.
Water-Air: You are an out-of-the-box thinker. You see things differently than most people and so you aspire to innovate and revolutionize ways of doing things. You aspire to challenge established traditions, but your goal is always to improve whatever system you're working on changing.

Passion-Driven or Leisure-Driven: Does the dinosaur have that typical dinosaur-look or not?
Typical look: Although your work is important to you, it is clearly not the most important thing in your life. You care less about the specific job you end up having, and more about the resources it gives you for you and your loved ones, and the way it facilitates your ability to pursue your real passions outside of the office.
Atypical look: You are a totally passion-driven person. You are not content to work a job where you simply run-out-the-clock and then focus on the things that really give you pleasure. You are intent on living your life with an overarching mission, and you aspire to find ways to pursue this mission in every endeavor that you undertake.

Some popular dinosaurs and their attributes:

Pterodactyl/Taranodon: Flying, Meat Eater, Short Neck, Air, Atypical Look
Brontosaurus/Bracchiasaurus: Tall, Plant Eater, Long-Neck, Land, Typical Look
Triceratops: Short, Plant Eater, Short Neck, Land, Atypical Look
T-Rex: T-Rex, Meat Eater, Short Neck, Land, Typical Look
Velociraptor: Short, Meat Eater, Short Neck, Land, Typical Look
Stegasaurus: Short, Plant Eater, Short Neck, Land, atypical Look

Try it out and let me know your results!

There's a few typical ones. T-Rex is most likely the answer given because people dont know many. I highly doubt any girl (or many guys) know about a plesiosaur. Youre pretty much guarunteed to get shit like T-Rex, Stegasaurus, Triceratops and all the other ones on Jurassic Park.

You've tested this...? as an opener? I can see this falling apart in alot of different places. asking her what her favorite dinosaur? it sounds like you are doing a research project or a survey or some shit... and its a little lengthy for an opener. Maybe use it in comfort if you have a girl who REALLY has a hard time expressing herself. It almost seems like the Cube routine but with dinosaurs... I guess, if it works...

This is absolutely excellent for my style.

I love the personality tests, but this one has a goofy witty subject, which hints at my true character and therefore gives me the ability to act natural and genuine, and also,

It's a multiple part test that keeps going!

The way I see it, the more the better, because this sort of thing is "chick crack."

PS: Obviously the descriptions should be something that matches up to her. Can even make up bs qualities of the dinosaur, which could be funny.

"It died in the year 9333 BC. WE found the fossil with a small caveman inside of it. But shhh don't tell anyone, its sort of political"

Lmao
