Hey all I'm fairly new to the game and have a question about negs. When you say them do you do it with a chip on your shoulders and a grin on your face, to show that you are kidding? Or do you really actually insult these girls (lightly, of course)?

Some pua's don't even use negs, and for good reason. It really turns some girls off, especially if they are used to being gamed by puas who don't use them, or AFCs who kiss their butts and compliment them profusely.

All I can really say about negging is don't make it mean-spirited. It's supposed to be a backhanded compliment. The idea of the neg is not to insult or offend the girl, it's to confuse and disarm her and prevent her from realizing your true agenda, which is to pick her up.

There is something very simple that not many guys seem to grasp...at least around this forum. NEGS ARE NOT MEANT FOR ALL GIRLS. If you neg a girl that is either average looking, cute, adorable, etc. then you are more than likely setting yourself up for failure. Negs are meant for the extremely hot girls who are used to having their ass kissed all day by guys and in turn have an extremely high opinion of themselves.

Yea, I agree with that. You could even say that her HB number directly correlates to the type of neg you use on her. It's my belief that most all women have low self esteem, i.e. weak inner game. Even the pretty ones. So negs and insults will be offensive to most girls simply because they are sensitive. However, the hotter girls will realize that they don't actually have fat arms, even if you tell them they do. They'll recognize it as an insult, and it will put them on tilt, but it won't be devastating to them.

But if the girl is actually heavy, and is hiding stretchmarks under that dress somewhere, then she's going to have hurt feelings if you tell her she has fat arms. Because the truth actually DOES hurt. That's why you need to be careful with your negs on those types of girls. You don't want to personalize them too much or they'll take offense.

a neg is a dis-qualifier

it is meant to dis-qualify a problem, with a girl who has a high self esteem, or a bitchy negative attitude

when you neg, it is not an insult, it is a dis-qualifier, it breaks the rapport and challenges a girl's ego

simply saying, ''you're so hot, too bad I'm gay or you would so be my type'' = neg

it is to challenge her ego, when you walk up, a girl with a very high self esteem, she might be thinking,

''I'm too hot for this guy, he thinks he can get a date with me? I'm going to blow him off!''

this ^ is just her ego talking, ''dis-qualfieing'' this possibility, challenges that ego of hers, and alters her state of self esteem, all of a sudden she has no merit behind her ego, and ''Im to hot, he wants a date with me, but he won't get one'' changes to, ''he doesn't want a date with me, why not? aren't I hot enough?''
