Haven't field- tested it but here goes: GIRL: So what do you do? ME: I do ( insert sport here ) GIRL: Really? That's so cool! ME: Yeah here's a picture. (Neutral attitude, not bragging) GIRL: It's...blurry. ME: No, you're just visually impaired. Did you leave your glasses in your house to impress me? (smiling in a joking manner). Don't worry you still look cute. (again, smiling.). |

I think it's pointless. If she is asking about your job, it means she is showing some level of interest ALREADY. Why are you negging her for? I swear, rAFCs nowadays and their definition of a neg. And if you prefer to her response "it's blurry", it is not even a shit test. WHY? WHY do you use negative reinforcement here? She does nothing wrong. It's your fault to choose a blurry picture. I'd totally understand if she complains about what you're doing is not cool. |

I agree. And if you prefer to her response "it's blurry", it is not even a shit test. WHY? WHY do you use negative reinforcement here? She does nothing wrong. It's your fault to choose a blurry picture. I'd totally understand if she complains about what you're doing is not cool. A neg is to be used for non compliance and in essence you are punishing her 'bad' behaviour. I know your trying to do this in a playful manner but the above still stands :- If she's interested and responding well to you (displaying the good behaviour you expect) why should you punish her for that? All you'll achieve if she doesn’t understand your intent, is you'll push her away. (In another context, think of your target as a small child - you punish them for their bad behaviour (to tell them what they are doing is wrong) and you praise them when they are good) |

Neg = Punishment! Why would you punish "positive" behavior? |
