Post subject:  Get your head round this

You say that whenever you say something Philosophical they react well, that suggests you already, are inclined to think that way....ergo you should not need help; be honest about your beliefs and curiosities.

However just in case, I am about to share something that I have never come across in the community (Loath as I am to say this, I read a post 5 mins ago saying the same thing and it was sharing 2 of the more famous mentalism tricks)

If you really want to blow a girls mind about the metaphysical you can talk about how crazy it is, everything so still, the world making sense, sun rising and setting but really we are just monkeys flying through space on a giant rock, the sun does not rise or set, it is just an illusion caused by the world spinning, you can talk about the usual "but if space is infinite and is getting bigger...what does it expand into etc etc there are many famous philosophical questions and answers

but the one is this

The measurement problem (The double slit experiment and the delayed choice quantum eraser experiment)

If you learn this and get a basic grasp it will blow your mind. They are experiments about the basis of our reality at the quantum level (Which will make you sound intelligent) as this is quantum physics, the other beauty with talking about quantum physics is that even the most respected in the field admit that even they cannot imagine actually understanding it and their findings!

Now the basics of the experiment are that we know light travels as a particle as proven by light reflecting from mirrors etc etc, that has been proven, what has also been proven is that light travels as waves (Confusing as we expect one type of consistent behaviour)

Stranger still is they can perform an experiment and light will travel as a wave until they add measurement to the experiment, when it then travels as a particle, inexplicably until they remove the measurement equipment.

Basically it is like the world is total potentiality or as they say in quantum physics a probability distribution, until an observer (Us, a camera etc) takes measurement and then it is forced to a single place.

I am bashing this out quickly but you can learn about it better from spirit science on youtube, read Tom Campbell - My Big toe or a bunch of other places

you can come to all kinds of conclusions, most interesting, such as that we create, or at least affect reality with our consciousness, ergo we are gods, or we are all a fractal of a larger consciousness, this reality is holographic and virtual etc etc

All big talking points that you can tailor for you, the subject is huge, philosophical and can be applied to every aspect of your daily life.

Brings a scientific nod to things like kabbalah and the beliefs in books like the Celestine prophecy and many other religious groups

Think of yourself as Neo in the matrix, don't try to bend the spoon, that would be impossible. Only try to remember there is no spoon.

Matrix is a great movie for understanding the ideas in QP

I don't know how this comes over as it would take me way to long to get it out through writing and I have never needed to script or routine it as it is stuff I know and goes over GREAT, every time....and I bet you that is because it is something that I am passionate about and that at some level makes even the most blinkered of us, think from time to time. This stuff really is crazy science fiction!

If there is any interest in a better routine or understanding then I will get to it!

How about these.....(Googled)

1-- What is the nature of the universe? Where does it come from? Of what is it made? How did it come to exist? What is its purpose? By what process does it change? Is it evolving or devolving? Does it function by itself or would it degenerate to chaos without some kind of intelligent control?

2-- Is there a Supreme Being? If so, what is His nature? Did He create the universe? Does He continue to control it personally and if so, at what level? What is his relationship with man? Does he intervene in the affairs of man? Is this Being good? If this Being is good and all-powerful, how can evil exist?

3-- What is the place of man in the universe? Is man the highest fruit of the universe or is he just an insignificant speck in infinite space—or something in between? Does the spirit of man descend into matter from higher spiritual realms, or has it evolved from matter? Is the universe conscious or unconscious of man? If it is aware, is it warm and friendly to him, or cold and indifferent, or even hostile?

4-- What is reality? What is mind; what is thought? Is thought real? Where do ideas come from? Are there laws that control thought? Which is superior: mind or matter? Has mind created matter or has matter evolved mind? Does thought have any importance--does it make any difference in our lives--or is it just fantasy?

5-- What determines the fate of each individual? Is man a creator and mover of his life, or does he live at the effect of forces over which he has little control? Does free will exist or are our lives determined by outside factors—and if so, what are those factors? Is there a Supreme Force that intervenes in our lives; or is everything pre-determined from the beginning of time; or is life just random, full of coincidence and accident?

6-- What is good and what is bad or evil? What is moral? What is ethical? Who decides good and bad, right and wrong; and by what standard? Is there an absolute standard of good and bad beyond one’s the personal opinions? Should good and bad be determined by custom, by rational law, or by the situation? What if the decisions of others (society, authorities, laws, etc) determining good and bad are contrary to one’s personal beliefs or freedoms? Moreover, if we do not have free will but are ruled by outside factors, what difference does good and bad make--we have no choice.

7-- What is the good life—for the individual and for the many (society)? Why are things the way they are? How should things be ideally? What would a Utopian society, a heaven on earth, be like? Is it even possible to create a Utopia? If so, how? Would not a Utopia assure personal freedom? What, then, should you do with those who don’t cooperate?

8-- What is the ideal relation between the individual and the state? Should the individual serve the state or the state serve the individual? What is the best form of government and what is the worst? When is a man justified in rebelling against the established order and creating a new state?

9-- He who controls education controls the future. What is education? How should the young be educated—what is important and what not? Who should control education: the parents, the student, the society or the state? Should a student be taught to think for himself or to adopt the beliefs of the society? Should man be educated to be free and live for his own interests; or to subjugate his desires to serve others or the state?

10-- What happens at death?

A good one I'd recommend is: Do you think there's any scientific proof that we have thinking minds? Or have thoughts?

They'll most likely say Yes. To which you can surprise them with an odd but true answer - which is the following: "Well actually there isn't! You would think so, since science is so powerful and people think it's just the ultimate - when it comes to proving things. Which is why many people adopt a view known as Scientism. The view that if you cannot proove something scientifically than it doesn't exist.

*Cut to the chase* So the reason why you can't proove that there are other minds out there beside your own is because science is a field that can only discover things that are evident in the natural world. So science basically says, if you can't feel something, smell it, taste it or touch it than it's not real. Thus, science is blind. So we hv to turn to philosophy to discover the answer - not science.

There's even a funny view known as Solipsism that says, your the only person that really exist and that you've imagined the world up and the ppl in it.

END

Now you don't hv to say all that in one breath but that's just one point you can bring up. Remember to calibrate and don't rush it, let her speak as well. Be a teacher.

Tbh if you ask on a forum about philosophical things to say you are simply not philosophically inclined and thus should stay away from trying to have such conversations.

The only useful thing about it that you might want to know is that philosophy is much more about asking the right questions than it is about "finding things to say". If you ever find yourself in a philosophical discussion and you answer every question with yet another (profound) question you will seem very wise.

Ink I love you!

Very nice post plus you sparked the idea of an opener, thank you for that.

PUA: "Is thought real?"
HB: "Yes"
PUA" "In that case we've been having sex for the last 15 seconds - so I figured it'd be rude not to introduce myself" Haha
