Picture this:
You're out at a houseparty or on the town with a group of male friends/aquaintences. Your friends have brought a female friend of theirs along who you've never met. You manage to speak to her when you can during the evening and she is very attractive and has a great personality.
The only thing stopping you attempting to take things further with her is the fact that she has her multiple guy friends joking around with her on the verge of flirting. They often make her the centre of attention by making fun of her, in a friendly but marginally intrusive way (e.g poking her, messing with her hair/ clothes etc).

How are you supposed to make your moves on this girl when she is being bombarded with male attention left right and centre right in front of you?

I've been in similar situations to this many times before and haven't really made any progress in any of them.

Any thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

I don't really know, but you should definetly not beg for attention. If she's bussy because some guys are flirting, go for a talk with some friends, or maybe a new set?

If the guys are away, then you can return/continue talking to her.

Yeah i suppose this is really the most sensible thing to do. I just wondered if there was some good way to take control of the situation so you could continue gaming the girl.
Guess its just a patience game.

You can say "lay low profile talk to other people, dont bother her", but dont you think she will more than likely just not notice you than she will say to herself "hey, this guy isnt talking to me, i want to talk to him". probably choice 1, because she is getting attention from other guys, and girls love attention.

You gotta out AMOG them. Best way would be to step in, make as a GREAT short but sweet first impression, then walk away, socialize more. Its important that your first impression is good enough that she will remember you later on, because when those guys strike out, you can run into her again, and start your 2nd interaction off with a strong start.

The better your first impression, then better your 2nd interaction will start off

You can't get the only girl unless you can control the group. If you aren't already the AMOG for your friends, you don't really have a chance. You need to dominate the conversation, have her notice when you talk to other people, not be afraid to touch her, even with your friends watching. They WILL know you're hitting on her. The trick is doing it in a way where they can't comment or be bothered by it.

I can generally AMOG fairly well these days when i put my mind to it, but in this one situation last weekend i was at my cousins party and all his friends were there who i didn't know and pretty much precisely the situation i described above happened. Think i AMOGed pretty well as all seemed quite interested in who i was and what i did though they all knew eachother so they had quite a few inside and stuff which made group conversation a bit more difficult for me to take control in.

Octave is spot on. Come in very high energy and extremely confident. Convey that you are the alpha. Make her laugh. Look every guy in the group in the eyes like you can beat their ass with your eyes closed. Smile at her again, and walk away. She'll remember you and likely seek you out later.
