This one is different.
Tuesday night is the night where a bunch of us from my restaurant go to a bar where the bartender used to work at our restaurant. Basically, we drink $500 worth of alcohol and pay (combined) $40. Tonight, only five of us showed up.
There wasn't a girl in the bar save the bartender, whose name I shall not provide. Let's call her Jamie. My friend Drew has had a thing for Jamie since he first met her at this bar several weeks ago... he ended up with one-itis. Last week he fumbled repeatedly while trying to hit on her and wouldn't take any of my advice. To prove my point I sarged her for about twenty minutes and got her phone number. He was pissed at himself; I assured him that I wouldn't act on the number.
This week he let me coach him through each step. The opener was easy enough, as they knew each other, but I fed him at least ten negs for about a half hour, and had him fake a phone call to a girl he'd "met earlier that night," while asking her for advice as to what to say.
They went to smoke a cigarette outside together, but before they did I told him how to do the Cube routine, and prompted him to initiate considerable kino (helped that it was cold outside
). We issued a time constraint, he said thanks and did the "kiss goodbye" while pointing to his cheek bit, and she slipped him her phone number. He flipped out, jumping into my arms in the parking lot. It felt great... I'll freely admit that I'm better at analyzing a situation and helping someone through it than doing it myself, for whatever reason. I need to work on that.Anyway, three of us decided to play a game of poker after leaving the bar. We hit a snafu. My friend Kyle's girlfriend had been at the bar, and his previous girlfriend, Jackie, was a bartender there (she wasn't there that night). He had been having an innocent convo with Jamie about her when his girlfriend came out, and she got quietly upset. She ended up leaving under the pretense that she had class the next morning and needed sleep.
We got to Kyle's house an hour later. He didn't have his cell phone or his keys (real smart). His girlfriend wouldn't let him into the apartment. He used my friend's and my cell phone both to call her, trying to convince her to let him in, but the entire time allowed her to frame the situation in her own favor. Finally she came downstairs for the sole purpose of cursing him out in person. I'd had enough; I just wanted to go home and forgo the poker game, but felt bad that in some way I was involved in this situation.
So I sarged her.
I asked to talk to her inside, to which Kyle took offense, but I AMOGed him into submission and went inside with her.
I convinced her that I had no personal motives, that I understood Kyle's situation, and wanted to know hers. I listened; she didn't have much of a point, at least no more than he did (the fight was really ridiculous to begin with), so I dropped a point about her personality.
She bit and I moved right into the animal routine. After describing herself as a lizard, I told her that she was detached from ego while at the same time she faced her fear with aggression. Got the usual jaw drop, and then she was mine. I placated the situation, and got her to agree to let Kyle in and apologize for her unnecessary hostility if he agreed to be more sensitive to their relationship when she was around.
After quickly talking to Kyle they embraced in the doorway, had themselves a big sloppy kiss, and moved inside.
Not gonna lie, it felt good.
