Hey, guys! I often will go to the mall to practice quick game, just approaching and closing in the span of a minute or so, for numbers, mostly. This has really helped me a lot with AA. Now I must admit that I have never read the Mystery Method, so for all I know, he may suggest something like this already. If he has, then I apologize for a repeat performance. If not, I suggest you try this out.
Basically, using a bit of cocky-funny while doing your ESP routine, lead into incorrectly "guessing" her number:
TFP: Hey, I'm working on putting together a pilot for a TV show, in which I read minds. I just need to use yours for a second to practice.
Slimmy: Ok.
TFP: Think of a number 1-4. But don't tell me.
Slimmy: Got it.
TFP: It's 3, right?
Slimmy: No, it's 2.
TFP: Alright, well let's shoot for another, between 1-10.
Slimmy: Ok.
TFP: 7?
Slimmy: No.
TFP: Alright, alright. Well I'm better with bigger numbers anyways. So now I'm going to predict the first 6 numbers you would give me if I was to ask you for your number. Let's see... 7-1-4-5-5-5... Right?
Obviously this is just a base skeleton. I drag it on for a bit, but base the whole gig from this model. Usually she'll laugh and try to correct you, at which point you have either the first 6 numbers of her telephone number, or the whole thing. Either way, pair this with some other form of close to let her know you're going to call her, and you're set. I personally have only used this as a 30 sec to 1 minute game, but I'm willing to bet it could be tacked on at the end of anything you're doing to make it a proper close.
