So met this chick, and met her up last week for drinks but kept it tame cuz both of us had work early next day. Seemed like she had a good time and we hung out for about 4-5 hours. Anyways today shot a text asking if she wanted to hang out Fri night. She responds "Not sure because I have early evening plans doing blhalbha, and then after that I dont know. What time are you free?" I respond "maybe around 9 or so?" and she goes "maybe... but let me think about it!!" What's a good approach to this? I went "hahah okay. if it doesn't work for u that's fine". Thought it sounded like I wasn't needy.. but what do you guys think.. in retrospect it might have sounded like a passive ultimatum. Should I have said something more like "Well if you think it works let me kno" or what else? |

oh just to add.. i also do not like waiting on my ass for a response, only to be flaked on last second or have no response at all. so i feel like implying a sense of urgency is important... |

Your solution: make plans with a couple of your friends to go out for early drinks. its friday night- so it would only make sense that your not devoting the entire night to her.. since she says she isn't. That being said, if you knew if she was gonna be downtown or something, go somewhere around there casually- just to make it easier for the eventual meet-up. if you dont meet up, then you dont meet up and you're out with your friends- not sitting on your ass waiting for her. who knows if she doesnt meet up maybe you'll meet a new girl friday night. |

Don't let her control! Now she can come at any time she wants, and you will be waiting for her. Create a false time contraint:What's a good approach to this? I went "hahah okay. if it doesn't work for u that's fine". Thought it sounded like I wasn't needy.. but what do you guys think.. in retrospect it might have sounded like a passive ultimatum. Should I have said something more like "Well if you think it works let me kno" or what else? "I am going out at 10 pm and will be at Pub X. Join me........if you dare!" Now you decide the time and place and make it more challenging for her. btw: she said she will think about it. So do not rushing her up. Just send this text on friday, if you want to hang out the friday night |
