heyy. I live in an area about 35min drive from heaps of fun shit to do. usually, I will just do something with a girl close by even though it won't be as interesting, like we got movies or a couple sweet coffee/juice/real bars and stuff but thats it. my question is, there is some pretty awesome things to do and this really sick hot chocolate place I'v been wanting to go to down the coast, so i was thinking about taking a girl but i don't know if the drive is appropriate or not. should I just stick to local and usual or go the distance. like I'm not sure how the girl would react? |

It is all in the delivery. Anything is acceptable as long as you deliver with confidence. Confidence is comforting. |

I definitely agree with the delivery advice. I would say, "I hope you're up for an adventure, cuz we are going to an awesome place I have been meaning to go to : )" If you are excited, she will be excited. You need to frame the situation in a way that the thought of it cannot possibly sound not exciting. I have literally convinced a girl to paint walls in my house on a second date and it was one of the best dates I have ever been on. Let me know if you want that story ; ). -Ben Reed AKA Breednow www.breednowornever.com Breednow-or-never (Dating Advice for Smart Men) |

Personally, I would stay local. Hoping into a car a driving for long distances with a dude u just met sounds like the opening scene to a horror movie. Save the long drive for the second or third date. It will give you time to ditch the chainsaw and hockey mask in the back seat of your car. |

ASK HER!!!! man up and call her up and say what your thinking the worst shes say is she doesnt want to, In my opinion if she already agreed for a first date she likes you so stop worrying. |

Thanks everyone, I Decided to go for it. I called her up and was like me -"its Saturday night, were not going to the (local area), were going on an adventure." her - "ohh yeah? where are we going?" me - "do you like hot chocolate?" her - "there not bad" me - "have you ever been to max brenner?" (like 20 girls have told me how awesome this place is, it specialises in hot chocolate but really cool SPAM) her - "nope" me - "good. me either. but I hear it awesome... there's only one problem" her - "haha whats that?" me - "its all the way down the coast and I don't know if I can handle a 30min drive with your dorky music playing the whole way" (she told me how she always takes over her friends car radio's after I neg'd her on her music taste when we frrst met.) her - "ohhh, to bad! there's nothing wrong with my taste in music buddy! haha" me - "errrr" her - "okay, okay. I let you pick a couple...maybe haha" anywayz she seemed into it. plus after the hot chocolate there are some sweet things to do around there, so we can change to a few different locations. |
