Every girl I've # closed over the past few months has been pretty vehemently against phone calls and one or two have outright said they would rather text than talk. For example, most of the time when I call one of these girls for the first time she won't answer (and I don't leave a message), but if I text her the next day she's always interested and usually it'll lead to a Day 2.

I talked to one of my female friends about it and she said it was probably because girls hate how awkward some guys can be on the phone and so they'd rather avoid it all together.

Do you think we're living in an age where calls are a thing of past? (During the gaming stage outside of a relationship of course)

Yeah, I think texting is better anyway. It's much lower pressure, since the girl can respond at her leisure. Unlike phone calls you don't know if she didn't answer because she was in the bathroom, at work, etc. Plus you can take time to think about your responses so that you avoid making AFC mistakes.

Not even. Voice call are still going be around no matter what. Text can not replace voice calls. Just because you run into a lot of girls that want to text over calling does not mean voice calls are done for.

You do know you can leave a message at the beep with the message box right? Besides text being lower pressure it is also less personal as well. You can't throw as nearly as much personality as you can with voice.

They like texting better because they don't know you well enough yet for the phone call. Only once you've gotten the HB's to be in a comfort zone, you can then call them.

This usually means that your Day 1's have not made an amazing enough impression, rather a good one which got you her digits.

However, I would advise to stay away from the texting/phone as much as possible if you can set up some day2 instead.

Oh and don't leave a voice message, it can just become a bizarre mess.

wow, so you're saying that after hearing a message that says "leave a message after the beep" and then a beep, you can leave a message? I never knew that.

Of course, if you leave a message, then you have to wait for a callback, and if your game wasn't solid you might not get one when she plays that "just wait for him to call again" game, which you can't do too quickly without appearing needy. In such a situation you're more likely to get a text back. Yeah, there's a bit of a trade off because texting is a less personal mode of communication, but you still can do quite a lot with it, and it's easier to develop your texting game because you can take your time.

yeah, texting is less intimidating and 'easier' to reply to. plus, if you just met a girl and you call, she might be nervous about actually answering the phone call. if you're good with phone game then it could be better; i hear phone game has more potential for game than text game.
however, if you're like me and not very good at phone game, texting is a better bet. i've had more success with texting.

This is how it works.

100% of women (I can only speak for 21 and over) respect and appreciate a man who makes the first contact with a PHONE CALL.

However 95% of women will not pick up this initial phone call (unknown numbers are right up there beside clowns and spiders in our fears). And everyone hates checking their voicemail. So don't leave one.

If a girl is into you she will send a text message: "hey I just got a missed call from this number, blah blah blah." (If she doesn't send this within one day, proceed to the step below)

Respond with "Hey its So-and-So." That's all. Do not respond to her "Hey, what's up, how are you" bullshit attempt to drag down your interactions into the easily ignored realm of the text. Wait at least three hours and then CALL her.

She will pick up this time. Or at least call back.
