So I met this hired gun HB8 in bar whilst out with a few friends. Actually, we were chatting to a number of women during the night but towards the end of the night I got talking to that hired gun. I managed to keep a c&f conversation going for about 10mins despite it being a busy bar and number closed despite her insiting I give her number instead. She also promises to call me. My first hired gun number close. I was proud! Outside the bar, I accidentally dial the number while trying to key it into my phone. I was alchohol induced. I didnt leave a message though because I cancelled as soon as I realised it was ringing. AFC stuff. The next night she sends me a text saying Hi She suggests we meet up on Sunday (in two days) because she has a day off then. I agree but I was genuinely busy that day so nothing concrete was set. I got the vibe that I was supposed to confirm our plans/times later. On Sunday afternoon: I got two calls from her but because I was with friends I let them ring to voicemail. No message but she soon follows wih a text saying 'I have to go into work On Monday afternoon: ME: I'm busy Tuesday during the day but meet me outside [A - central location] at 6pm. Lots of cool bars close by. If you cancel, I'm filing for divorce HB: ME:6pm [location A] otherwise 8pm HB: Maybe 8:30 outside [C - being closer to her place]? ME: 9pm [D - my station] it is HB: OK 6 on [A - central location] ME: You're naughty. I hope you'll behave tomorrow HB: I promise Tuesday morning: HB: Hi sweetie, I just came back home from work so I need to get sleep. Maybe we can meet at 9 on if you know where to take me there Tuesday afternoon: ME: Call me later. If I'm free you can buy me drink at but I dont want to make plans you are going to change x A few hours later: HB: Im really sorry but I just woke up. So what are we doing?x I got annoyed at this but I went out to the supermarket to get dinner and an hour later called her. The conversation lasted 10mins and mostly consisted of her complaining that she hadnt had enough sleep, that she was tired and there was not much to do in . Then she went on a rant about how hard she works but I told her I didnt want to hear it. Then she said 'I'm just chilling at home, just lying on my bed watching tv wearing almost nothing. I would have to spend a lot of time getting ready to go out - I definitely need to wash my hair' I brushed this off and pushed one last time for and when that didnt happened I told her to forget it because she was wasting my time. She asked me not to get mad at her but I calmly restated she was wasting my time and we should just leave it at that. Then she suggest this Sunday instead but I didnt want to fall for another stall so I just told her that this isnt working and to take care or herself before hangin up. I got annoyed but I would have prefered not to completely close the door on her. Any thoughts on this? Could I have prevented this flake? It also occurred to me that I could have suggested that I would drive to her place, her being in her bed almost naked, but I didnt want to ask this because I felt it would give her all the control. Should I have done this, was this her green light saying lets cut the small talk and get down to business at mine? Appreciate your comments. |

ditto, she was quite forward. unless you can pull off a miracle your only hope now is to admit you owe her one due to your denseness which doesn't work too often. |

The following day she sends a text saying: 'I'm sorry things didnt work out. It was a really hard week for me and I have not been feeling well the last few days. But anyway its my job and I love it. So if in the future you care about a person like me, you need more patience to not give up so fast. Good luck to you too x" That was 2 days ago. I havent heard from her or spoken to her since. Was I too quick to brush her off? If I give this girl another chance, how could I reply back to this? I was thinking 'I have a lot of patience for those close to me but if I'm getting to know someone I dont apprecaite games'. Cheers for the advice guys. |

Well, she sounded honest to goodness tired and exhausted. That isnt being a fake, being a flake is not being true having a terible excuse and not trying to organise another date. In my opinion, you were being a total prick. |

Your criticism is acknowledged. I may have been blunt but remember she changed plans on 2 occasions and I certainly didn’t want a repeat on attempt 3. If a HB10 had arranged a date with you, would you cancel because you were tired? |

Ahh, but are you a HM10? hehe I agree with what you did, it was deserved but cutting her off completely was where i would have stopped. Beng a prick is what attracts them. |
