Hi, I poached this girl from a group of guys at a bar in Lodo Saturday night around midnight. I walked her around to meet my dozen or so friends. I was holding her hand kino etc. We talked for a bit and she said "well I wanna get back to my friends". I said "sure, you seem cool, put your number in my phone and I'll call you". She puts the number in the phone and tells me her name. I text her today some meaningless feeler text like "hey i just built this snowman" and she replies back "who is this". What is the proper response to that question or how do I avoid getting that question in the first place? Should I put my number in her phone as well to avoid this issue? Or better yet should I have asked her to introduce me to her friends and continued the escalation? <--- I personally think that is what I should have done. |

This is why I'll usually give them my number, too. But if they don't have you're number, just remind them who you are and continue from there. I wouldn't consider it lowering value or anything, it's just the information they need. |

Prevention is always better than cure. So next time you get a girls number, when it's time to leave her, text her saying something like "Who's that hansom guy you we're just talking to?" she'll then save your number. done  Credit to Style or Mystery for this ( i can't remember who said it) |

First off, I always trade numbers, never just take hers. And come on, how can she possibly know who it is. A girl has more than one chance to hand out her number and you are in no way special unless you made an awesome impression, but in that case she would want yours as well. Secondly, she ejected without asking for contact info, she wasnt that interested. Instead of spending time on technical issues on number handling try to improve your attraction building and comfort... |

im gonna try not giving my number out. i'll tell her i'll call her and she can pick up if she's interested. if not...it doesnt even have to be me. next time i see her i can act as if i never called, if she doesnt pick up. or if she gets pissed that i didn't call i can tell her i did but she didnt pick up. and then i can take her home. |

The main reason girls flake is lack of investment in you or lack of memory of you. I did a survey recently and found that only 10% of women call guys back after they give their number and guys call. 10% Sucks. But it's always hard to know exactly how and exactly when to ask for the number...when their "buying temperature" is just right. I have a technique that I use occassionaly because it's fun and it has kept girls from ever flaking on me. Actually, when I call they are floored. Yeah yeah, great witty comebacks... But if you get that response you have already lost a lot of what you could have had if you had gamed better the day before. The reason she said that is that you didnt make enough of an impression. You were just another guy. Try showing your personality more, give her something to remember! |
