Nowadays it seems like talking to a girl for a decent amount of time, and then asking for her number will always yield you that number. It isn't a big deal anymore. But it is still progress. In my experiences, I usually meet girls at bars or parties (bars being more anonymous and a crapshoot, parties being more comfortable due to the familiarity of mutual friends) and I always number close. However, I usually have trouble with the follow-up. I always make a mental note to call the girl a few days later and ask to hang out, but I always just get lazy and text them during a class or something. The texts have a disappointing reply rate. But why do I feel so inclined to send them? They're usually something along the lines of "Hey, it was nice meeting you. blah blah" which I know just reeks of AFC. But anyway, I number closed a really hot girl last night. Things were going well, and we talked in passing about hanging out but it wasn't a definite thing. We have mutual friends, so I am not too worried. But I am unsure of how I should play this, exactly. I was hoping for a facebook friend request, but she's too cool for that apparently (I don't get too many of these anymore though unfortunately). So I definitely do not want to seem needy by friending her, or texting her. But I also want to strike while the iron's hot. I can either not contact her, and wait to see her again which may be somewhat soon because of our mutual friends (2-3 weeks). Or I can contact her, and see if she wants to smoke (which she expressed that she liked to do). Or I can do the "let's jsut hang out" route, but it will definitely have to involve a phone call. Just a bit unsure of when I should do this. I have a couple of other prospects, and some are working better than others. But I am definitely into this girl, and I'd really like for this to work out. MPUA forums have helped me out in a previous thread I posted here, so I'd love to hear what you guys have to say about this. Feel free to ask questions about details if need be. Thanks! |

Man I'm going through the same kind of shit but I'm 19 and new to the game, my statistics are listed below. Getting to the Day 2 is a mother....I find it that when I rush the routine it always freaks the chicks out. Anyways, to answer your question, call her but wait till the evening: between 4 and 7 pm. When I receive a girls number I wait 24 hours then I call her the next evening. If she doesn't answer I'll call the next day around the same time, if she doesn't answer again then I'll call her the next day around the same time but this time I will leave a message. I'll wait a week and if she doesn't call me in a week I'll erase her number and keep it moving. |

I am having the same problem on follow-up. I think its because I am making the girls feel cheap. Next number I get I'll tell them I'm going to call at a specific day. Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday is preferred less chance of them being real busy. |

Dont just ask for the number, have a reason to number close. for example. "I KNOW! i dont mind shopping but always love a second opinion. put your number in my phone and you can help me sometime" (dont ask, order) Then when you call her you can say oh hey, how are you etc the say oh i sa the coolest hat in topman, wanna come and give me a second opinion, my fashion buddy (and call back similar will do) BEEN FIELD TESTED! I agree. I usually try to talk to the girl as much as possible to establish a rapport before I ask for her number. The more time and conversation the both of you invest in each other, the more the payout. I talked about hanging out and smoking with her, so this is my angle. I wouldn't call back the next day. If she doesn't call back, it is usually a bad sign - BUT, girls are very flaky, and if they're not feeling you at that particular moment, they may save you for another time. I do this all the time with girls. If a girl doesn't answer my text or call, I would give it some time (a couple of weeks) before I make contact again. You want to give the impression that you are too busy with your awesome life and if you called once then that should be it. ---- One thing I try to keep going is the momentum. When you have a couple of prospects, keep them coming. It's positive feedback. You gain more confidence because you are gaining numbers and positive responses, and this causes you to gain more confidence, which keeps refueling this cycle. Unfortunately, the opposite is just as true. |

i'm 18 and since i learned pua i've learned how to approach and make out at a party however, i too am currently massively stuck between day 1 and 2 and unable to get over to day 2 via text/phone so i'm sure this is quite a common situation its frustrating though as i totally hit it off with this girl at a party but totally failed on the follow |
