Quick background. I have probably never been so attracted to a girl in my life. I have not seen or heard of a single thing shes done to make her less attractive to me, I've known her as a co-worker and such for about 18 months, but when I started my job I was in a relationship. I don't really have oneitis with her, I still am interested in other girls, I don't know her, and that's the problem. I want to get to know her but shes REALLY closed off. Her whole personality is this outer shell, she is not shy per say, she projects this independent vibe, she is difficult to talk to, rarely starts conversations, though when I go cold on her (I work with her) she will come seek me out and talk to me, despite that this is not necessary for any reason except that she wants to. Part of me is saying I should go direct, another part of me is saying that this outer shell of hers is a protection mechanism to drive away people who are not truly interested in her. I have been sending her flirty texts, but she doesn't respond. However her attitude doesn't change to me, and in fact she gives some IOI's now when I'm around, the most common is that she watches me when she thinks I'm not looking and when I look at her she looks away. So my question is, does anyone have any experience with girls like this? Does she want to be chased or does she want me to be direct? She is so hard to get to know/get with that literally I know of pretty much no guys who have even tried, but I refuse to accept anything less than an outright rejection because I think shes amazing. Keep in mind I have sent her about 4 cheesy, C&F or flirty texts in the last week with no responses, normally I would take this as a clear IOD, but she is closed off with everyone. I have confirmed this by talking to friends of her exes and such, she is hard to get to know in general. Thanks in advance for the advice. |

About the texting part: That would be a clear IOD if she only did it with you and other guys that show interest in her. However, you said it yourself - she does it with everybody. Doesn't mean it's an IOD. She's just... that kind of person. I would suggest you game her in real life and through the phone if possible. Texting does not seem to be a very wise option after all. If she is hard to reach - use the freeze out that you've been using so far to get contact with her, and continue the gaming from there.
