Hi, this is my first time posting on this forum, so welcome me with warmth.

I tried to analyze what was going on in the convo, feel free to point out what I got wrong and stuff that I can work on.

I'll call the girl 'Spring' here.

Me: Hello hello how is Spring doing, is she feeling any better?
Her: I felt fine before! lol im studying for psych :_(
Me: Wow, if that was when youre feeling fine, i guess i really dont want to see you not fine
--kinda teasing her a bit
Her: kkk Dblar!!! im feeling much better thank u :)
Me: If you werent i was going to use my secret weapon to cheer you up but i guess you missed your chance
--trying to grab her attention. i was actually planning to do a emotion amplifying gig of some sort.
Her: wht is your secret weapon?
Me: ill show you when you feel down again
--reinforcing the attention
Her: Dblar, im very down right now :_(
Me: hahaha you just told me youre feeling fine two seconds ago silly :)
Her: but now im down :_( its called a sudden depression :p
Me: haha okok, but you gotta wait till i get to school tomorrow. can you be a good girl and wait?
--trying to frame her into 'me giving out something because she was good to me'
Her: sure ill wait .. :_( ill be more depressed after my psych test!
Me: i just made u open ur phone for no reason, and i just made u smile for no reason. now u might even be giggling a bit. see how powerful i am? :)
--I wanted to avoid any topics that are associated with negative emotions to her
Her: all true Dblar kk and u made my mommy giggle too :)
--she calls one of her best friend 'mom'

Me: heres one more. how do you keep a good girl in suspense?
--tried to use a trick I learned from a post
Her: Hey Dblar this is (the girl's friend)..stop sending weird texts...kkk jokes!
--I decided to regard this as some sort of shit test
Me: mums always ruin the fun dont they
Her: Spring wasnt having fun..kkk
Me: aww too bad. but i thought she was? or is mumsie just being jealous
--Didn't want to lose the frame and state that I built
Her: mommy is bein a meany kk
--felt relieved so I started pressing my playful jokes again
Me: tell her the guy from saw might abduct her if she keeps on being one
Her: kkk u made us both laugh again kk
--don't think it was that funny to be honest. but because I passed the shit test I guess they were laughing to my jokes that aren't really funny
Me: aww thank you girls and just for that, tell her ill save her mean ass from the guy
Her: kk so what are you up to?
--I guess the jokes were getting old. yet she didn't want to end the convo
Me: Just studying hard..or hardly studying
--so commonly used, not even a joke for us college kids
Her: hardly studying for me :_(
Me: So when's your test tomorrow?
Her: 12 :_( right after lunch
Me: so I guess i wont be seeing you tmrw lol
--most likely she will say 'why?', which gives a feeling that we're presuming she wants to see me tomorrow
Her: why?
Me: cuz youre prolly gonna be studying till very late, and sleep all day right after the test
Her: no :_( i got math tut at 4 to hand in my assign :_(!!
--tries to dodge the presumption but I press on even harder
Me: so are you saying you want to see me before 4 or after?
--again, trying to frame her into 'her picking me up'
Her: whn ru comin?
Me: ill be there in the morning around 10. and im pretty much staying the whole day

The kk thing is really annoying. If she is showing her friends she probably likes you but it could also be teasing with the whole stop sending weird messages, sounds like she likes you but its harder to read peoples opinions from their text. Weird that she calls her friend Mom but if she ever tells you that she is laughing like crazy and her (actual) mum or friend is looking at her funnily, then she likes you or wants to hook up ( true story, happened to me :D ). I like your cheer up idea thought, well done.

Hi and welcome.

Since you are new I just thought I should let you know, LR means Lay report, FR means field report, but texting is hardly counted as field.
Questions and reports like this should go in the Newbie question section.

I think the girl is in to you, but tell her to stop the annoying kkk (that's racist :shock: ) and take her out, you can over do it with too much texting some times

Okey doke.
Was this sms/text over mobile phone? or online chat? It was too long. Keep it short and sweet. Online stuff, even phone stuff is a means to an end - face to face contact. It's so easy to fuck it up by talking too much.
I think you should have avoided trying to cheer her up. Remember girls want you to listen to their problems but not to fix them.
I wouldn't use any smileys.Think about it. Would a confident man use them? But you're thinking - What if she doesn't understand I'm joking? Let her guess! Most girls/women do understand so it's unnecessary. If they do NOT understand then ask yourself if you'd want to be with someone so humourless.
I think in the last section you're trying too hard, you're too available. I think you may have been better giving her 2 definite times you could meet, one before 4 and the other after and then saying "So I'll see you at 3 or is 6 better?" Her last line is a bit worrying - 2 doubtful words "maybe" and "if". You really needed to get a definite time. I'd be surprised if you got to meet her from that text.

I agree, I'm pretty much going to be available the whole day thing seemed a bit much. She even suggested if you have time, you should have been saying that. Not too bad with keeping it cool with her shit test, although the Momma thing did seem a bit weird lol
