I am a work study in the computer lab at the college I go to, and yesterday while working on one of my projects, this girl starts asking about it, and we talk for a little bit, but then some nerdy kids in the area said something about being cold, and the girl told me that she's going to go get a good seat for her class. Then today after one of my classes, and before work, I walk through the cafeteria, and on my way out, I see her drawing. I walk out and tell myself to be a man, so I go to the bathroom and head back in, but instead of talking to her right away, I see an old classmate, so we talk for a while kind of in front of her table. (social proof anyone?) After we finnish talking, I walk over to her and ask her what she's drawing. We talk for a while, then we really get into the conversation. In fact, We're having a great conversation! I even lost track of time. She's telling all about this movie. Then It turns out I'm late for work! (My boss didn't mind) so I get her number, and say we can talk more about movies. (playing down the number) She seems surprised, and exited a bit. Then she asks me how old I am. I made her guess. Then after telling her I was 20, she told me about this 30 year old hitting on her the other day, and she was creeped out. We both laughed, and I asked her what the worst way a guy has hit on her. She tells me, and we both laugh some more. so we talk a little bit on how she gets hit on vs how she would like it to be. so then I call her phone so she has my number. then she says "Yeah, we can talk more about movies!" (sounded like she was playing down the number as well) then bye, see you later, blah blah I tried not to be too forward and flirty on account of seeing her again in the computer lab when she has class. I don't mind rejection, but I just don't want to be that creepy guy who she will see again. so, I don't know if she knew I was into her or not. Like I said, I wasn't flirty (we had an awesome conversation though! Then she asked me how old I was after getting her number, and mentioned the 30 year old, and we laughed about stupid guys hitting on her. Then of course she was totally down for talking more about movies. (playing down the number) I figure, if she wasn't somewhat interested, she wouldn't have said that. My question is, how would I go about setting up a date? I might see her in the lab On Monday, so I obviously have to call before that. What do you guys think? |
