Ok so a few weeks ago I meet a girl who was a fellow patient seeing an allergist at a hospital, and she starts talking to me. Conversation goes decently, and I get her number. I call her either the next day or the day after and we chat and she suggests we go for lunch some time, so I say ok. Day after I call her, and she doesn't pick up, so I text her "hey we should meet for lunch on this or this day." She doesn't reply, so I think ok no biggie it's done maybe she is no longer interested. Earlier this week, which was about two weeks later, I get this text from her saying "Hi how are you?" I reply that I'm doing well and hadn't heard from her in a while, and she says that she had been hospitalized (which when I met her she said happened frequently to her due to sever allergies), and that she was sorry that she wasn't able to reply at the time. I call her up, and we organize to meet just for lunch today. Since girls in this country (and guys, for that matter), are frequently late, I text her right before I leave "I'm leaving now, see you at xyz place at xyz time." She replies "Didnt u get my txt?..sorry smethin came up.i wont be able to go." I send "Oh didn't get it. Ok no worries take care." Then she sends "I'm so sorry...mu aunt wants me to fix smethin and i cnt say no,i feel bad, hope u arent mad," I say "No dont worry about it." She doesn't reply. My attempt was to sound not too interested and purposefully not attempt to reschedule right there and then as that would seem to desperate, however I still may have sounded more accommodating than i should have. I still want to see this girl. What should I do, call her? And if so, what should I say. Or should I just let this one die unless, or maybe even if, she gets in contact with me? |

What kind of girl was she when you met her, shy? Quiet? Seems to me that shes interested but, shes either underconfident or embarrassed at this point, since she probably actually couldnt make it to your arranged dates. I think she isnt going to text you, I would just bite the bullet and text one more time, make or break, use something funny, and tease her for her allergie/s alittle, something like. Then just either ask her out via text or call. Tbh mate, just seems like shes shy and embarrassed, so try to work around that, hope this helps. |

I'd love to give you some advice, but theres some gray area stuff for me in here. Ok so a few weeks ago I meet a girl who was a fellow patient seeing an allergist at a hospital, and she starts talking to me. Conversation goes decently, and I get her number. I call her either the next day or the day after and we chat and she suggests we go for lunch some time, so I say ok. When you chatted did you stay on the phone a long time? What kind of vibe did you get from her on the phone? Day after I call her, and she doesn't pick up, so I text her "hey we should meet for lunch on this or this day." She doesn't reply, so I think ok no biggie it's done maybe she is no longer interested. It seems as if you have been to eager, but I am not sure how the initial reaction energy level was. If she does not pick up a phone call I would have just left her a message and let her soak it in. If a number is in your phone book, you can still work back into that rapport. This looks like a little bit of a will test. You can definitely see her again, but you have to make it known to her that you do not tolerate flaking. This can be done in a way that is not overtly angry, but very dominantly. I would give it one last shot with a text message and if she does not respond you can just move on. If it has been two weeks and you havent met any other girls, your brain might set in on some one-it-is. If you give me some more detail about the initial reaction and phone call I can definitely help you out buddy. Looking forward to hearing what happened. -Tim Pierce[/i] |
