Post subject:  STD/Birth Control Question

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but if I'm getting with a new girl, I definitely like to know that she is on some sort of birth control, and also that she is clean.

I'm wondering if most of you guys inquire into this before the first time you have sex with a girl. They should both be pretty important questions to ask any girl you're sleeping with imo, even though I do use a condom every time, but there is really no good time to ask it without killing the mood. As a result I will sometimes not ask before hand, and though it has not been a problem yet, it's definitely something that I'd like answered before I sleep with anyone.

Any thoughts on this? Do you even ask these questions at all? If so, how and when without killing all the escalation?

AWESOME QUESTION!

Shades,

I actually ask each girl I am with before sex. I know what you mean about killing the mood but it's something that you have to know. You really can't afford not to ask.

What I do in order NOT to kill the mood is this. While I am kissing her or touching her I simply kind of whisper something like, "Not to kill a great moment between us but I have to know are you using any type of birth control? I use condoms but I like to be sure." Then of course I ask the STD question as well. I just keep touching, and kissing her as I do it.

I basically took the idea of the LMR formula that as they are resisting you are half ignoring their statement and still kissing them escalating, and applied to to this. I figured it was the best way to keep the sexual momentum going but to still find out what I need to know.

Hope it helps buddy,

Jon

I use something similar to this as well. Also, a lot of times when I'm screening a girl and/or start sexually escalating (talking dirty) I can usually get her thoughts and opinions about these things. I can then transition into the birth control/STD talk without a lot of akwardness.

Like JSmooth said though ALWAYS use a condom no matter what she says or does.

And always always always always ask the girl if she is on birth control and if she has any known STD's. It is in your best interest to. If a girl won't give you an answer DO NOT have sex with her. I don't care how freaking hot she is. If she won't tell you that she is on birth control and has any STD's or not its not worth risking your self.

I don't have a lot of experience with this, but exactly how often does a girl cop to having chlymadia or hepatitis while you're breaking open a condom? I bet not the 1/5 people or whatever the hell it is. I think the only way you're gonna know is if you start seriously dating the girl, otherwise she'll have her plausible deniability on so this guy she just met a week ago doesn't humiliate her, right? Bag it up every time. What I want to know is, are there guys that actually go down on girls in one night stand situations? Style alluded to it in The Game. That seems risky.

I will but to each his own. Like you said it's risky but I inspect first... :) I know that doesn't really mean anything but at least I asked the girl. It's a risk but whatever I'm a risk taker now. I could just as easily get cancer from smoking as an STD at this point.

Thanks for the replies guys. Glad to hear everyone's keeping as safe as possible out there, and yes, I definitely wrap it up every time. I was also wondering the same thing minsok, about oral sex. I pretty much just go with the visual inspection, like Jsmooth, but yeah it's kinda scary...it's one of my fortes though, so I'd feel bad if I didn't let her experience it  .

I'm getting older and I feel like I'm cheating the girl a little if I don't eat her out. Visual inspection is good, but there have been two occasions where everything looked fine, but the scent was awry. I think a good sense of smell is best for detecting some kind of infection or something else I don't want to stick my face in.
