Hi all,
I'm a long-time lurker and newbie poster so just wanna say hi and thanks in advance to anyone who replies here. :)

A quick bit of background on me:
I've been reading up on PUA techniques for around 10 years or so but never really put any of it into practice as I've always been in LTRs :p But since my recent split with a LTgf I thought I'll open up my horizons a little more.

So onto the main subject. I went out for a friend's bday in town on the weekend and thought i'd put all the theory i'd gathered over the years to use. Cut a long story short I got blown out of 2 random sets so my AA was increasing, in which case i rejoined my group to keep my social standing. Lo and behold three 7s join our posse (friends of the bday girl :)) and i was straight in there being introed in.

After some negging, attraction and comfort building (i may of needed a bit more comfort building imo) i managed to take her hand and go to the bar (so bit of kino+location change). We ended up going back to her friends house, carried on partying and we both got a taxi together at the end of the night. When we arrived outside her flat I guess either i was too tired, drunk or just chicken and only managed to land a cheek kiss but managed to get her number.

So the txts the following day goes like this:

11.27 Heya ***, was lovely to meet u last nite. Luv *** *** ps. Are u seriously going to play netball today...?!
13.52 Hi ***! Yep, just played and we won. Great weather 4 it so couldn't miss but feel dreadful now! X
16.10 Congrats on the win! Perhaps u should get drunk the nite before more often then, seems to improve your game :p up to anything interesting today?
17.48 Ha, maybe! Packing at the moment. . . Always takes me ages as can never decide what 2 take! U gettin ready 4 work tomo?
19.23 Ooh u excited about your hols? Im just chilling with friends. Contemplating goin out tonite bit I still cant feel my brain. How long u away for?
20.30 Yeah cant wait 2 get on the plane now. Going 4 a week. So u still feel a bit rough? I defo couldn't drink again today!
20.53 I bet u cant! i'm quite jealous actually, is there any room in your luggage to sneak me in? I'll treat u to dinner if u do. x

After the last txt I was hoping she'd reply and then I would follow it up with a phone call, but there was no response :( Granted, I reckon I could have done a few things differently and I'm not just banking on this 1 girl so I'm not really phased even if she did flake me :) But what I do want to know is, what could I have done differently/more to end this txt conversation better?

dude, that's some AFC stuff right there. i felt that you were a news reporter interviewing her. there was no negging (except the one about her skills). but still man, be exciting. make her want to talk to you bro. dont get me wrong, that's good conversation, but ur not gonna pick her up with that.

I read on a guide (I think on this website) not to negg via text as it can come across badly. Do u think this is wrong?

Negging is never a bad thing, the way to make sure you dont seem like a prick is by adding a ;) or a :) at the end of the txt, that way she knows for sure that you are being playful

Words only account for 30% of communication, so you are eliminating the other 70%. This way she can only interpriate what you mean by what you have typed.

The faces make sure there is no confusion in what you mean

I would also recommend not texting too much. She could only relate you to text messaging if thats the only way you two communicate. When she gets back from her trip. Text her about it and ask her to meet you for a drink that night. Or even better yet call her and ask. I'd wait 2-4 days after she gets home tho, don't want to seem too desperate. Plus she'll be busy unpacking and catching up on work, etc.

I have to disagree with some of the posters here. When a woman hears your voice that gets her thinking in ways about you that texting cannot. You are implanting your voice into her head. Texting is safe which is why afcs love it. You are just sending text back and forth, less danger and risk. When you actually call you are taking more risk and it shows you have confidence in yourself which is attractive to women.

implanting your voice into her head + confidence + more risk = don't be a wuss, call the b|tch!

the simple fact that you got her number and are calling her gets her hot. Her psychology is that she is not talking or txting another of her stupid girlfriends, she is talking to a guy on the phone! there is a sense of danger, risk, omg what could this lead tooo with this guy in the future???

thats some basic things going thru her head, calling gets her thinking about you in ways txting does not, plain and simple. This is why some top PUAS hate texting.

Texting is a good way to lead to the friend zone (i learned my lesson the hard way). It can lead to you becoming another of her girlfriends than than boyfriend if you overuse it and missuse it. Use texting for what it is best at which is giving a woman short commands, short messages, 1 liners

"ill call you back in a couple hrs" (short message)
"call me when you get home" (short command)

AVOID
1. txt conversations: AT ALL COSTS! unless you want to go thru what countless others have already learned this can definitely lead to the friend zone. If you want to have a conversation with her talk to her, don't text. Don't be another of her girlfriends that she txts all day, show some manliness and call the b|tch!
2. keep them short and sweet: txts are most effective with single liners.
Never set up an actual date by texting. This just doesn't make you look like a man in a woman's eyes that you took the important step into any possible relationship (going on a date) by texting her and not calling her.
