| Post subject: | Effective use of NICKNAMES |
I'm sitting here, a little under the weather, thinking about various aspects of game that I've been learning, and I decided to share what works and what doesn't when it comes to nicknaming HBs. Nicknames are good because they create a connection. They're almost like a secret joke between the two of you. When you call or text you can use the nickname to remind her of who you are and how she was feeling when you gave her the nickname. You want to give her the nickname at a point when she's reached an emotional high point in the convo. She'll associate that nickname with what she was feeling at the time Yes. Nicknames are good as long as they're not forced. If she's a waitress and you met her while at her work, it would be lame to call her "super waitress girl" or something like that, that's just trying too hard. If you were able to create any kind of rapport, you usually end up learning something (through her qualifying) about the HB that makes her unique and special as a person, at least in her mind ;-P Use it! So if you see her texting a lot and you neg her about it and nickname her "miss supertexter" or something along those lines and she laughs, you'll find that nickname to work so much better because it reminds her of what she was feeling when you met her. |

I just call them girl number 1 and girl number 2 and I do it when introducing my wing. This has a few possible outcomes: The will think that: 1. You are not interested enough to remember their names (false disqualification) 2. They did not tell you their names and since you are so nice they now feel ashamed (your value goes up, theirs go down) 3. You are kidding All of them are good. |

Both the above posts are very good, I've been using nicknames for so long I totally forgot how good they were. I do a similar thing to Ezoghoul where you get their name (after they've IOI'd or qualified to you, so you're rewarding them), and then compliment them on their name, but then say..."ah, wait a sec...I know (counts fingers) seven other Sarah's who also have beautiful smiles like you, so I'm going to call you number 8". They then try to qualify so that you call them a higher number or something better. This is basically taken from Swinggcat. The fact that you know so many Sarah's is also a DHV. |
