Let's say that you have a girl that is showing you clear IoIs. Is there a really good bullet proof way to ask a girl out on that so important "first" date so that she will not flake upon you? I have started to have this mindset that I don't care if a girl comes to spend quality time with me or not. I have enough hotties in my life to care if one quality women is or is not interested. I will in any case have a good time... It's great being pre-selected by girls because if you are then you will not come across as needy and you don't really care if she is flaking on you or not. |

I think it all comes down to that initial conversation. Make sure you're interesting and are able to build up a good level of attraction - show her that you would be an awesome dude to get to know better. Then provide her with an invitation to a date that sounds like it would be fun and give her the chance to enjoy your company a little more. Do NOT make it sound like you're at her beck & call and that you are depending on her to have a good time (from your post above, it sounds like you've got the right mindset there). Again, it sounds like a cliché, but you have to maintain the frame that you are the exciting guy who is going to be having a great time, and you've selected her to accompany you. |

Make sure you've built up attraction and COMFORT. a big mistake I've made is to have girls all over me, drooling with attraction, but given them nothing concrete about me to take with them the next day. That's when female buyers remorse kicks in.Find a common interest in your inital conversation and then seamlessly set up the date. |

Both Rigoberto and Chinaski are absolutely right. However, as soon as you care about the outcome.. yer done. If a woman doesn't want to go out with me next week, it's really not a big deal. I'm bound to come across her a month, 6 months or a year from now. If I don't come across her again, there will always be others. Don't be afraid to take the long view. Take it from me - I'm over 40. Coming across as needy in any way will definitely bite you in the ass later. If she can't go out with you, there might be a perfectly good reason for it. Even if she never goes out with you, if you don't press her too much she might have a hot friend for you someday. But odds are, if she can't go out with you now, but likes you, you'll hook up. Eventually. Women are just like us - they love to get the one that got away. I live in a small town outside a medium-sized city in CT. Reputation is everything, and your desires should never run against your personal dignity. If you want to cinch that first date, make that first impression count. -RT |
