So I went out to this lounge friday night for halloween with 2 friends of mine. I wasn't even really thinking about picking up women at all, I just wanted to relax and have a good time after my exams. Anyway, so my friend and I are outside smoking a cigarette and this guy comes by selling roses. I buy one off him, and I'm thinking, I'm just gonna go in there and hand this to the hottest girl I see around me. This is exactly what I do, the girl was incredibly surprised because she had not seen me, and I had not seen her all night even though she was dancing ontop of the booth pretty much the whole time I was standing there, I never really noticed here. So we start talking, bla bla bla, and she pulls out her phone to talk to her friend who was at another party she says. I wait for her to finish her convo, trying not to be a dick. Then I pull out my phone immediately after and look at it. So heres how the convo goes: ME: Hey I'm looking in my phone here, and I notice theres something missing, your phone number! HER: (laughs) Oh, you're just full of pick-up lines aren't you? (still laughing/smiling, and she grabs my phone and puts her number in there.) So I continue talking to her and unfortunately before I could take her away, she gets into a fight with some other girl that was there over who knows what. And that was the end of it, I went outside to say goodnight to her, and I go, wheres that rose I gave you? She had actually lost it inside during the fight and she just stormed out, so she just gave me this puppy face look and apologized. I just said goodbye once more and made my way back inside. Now that I have her number, I have no idea what to really say to her. I'm not just looking to hit it and quit it, this is a girl that I would definitely like to date..... What advice can you guys offer me to keep the convo with her interesting? Thanks!! |

The text is funny, but at the same time you're sending mixed messages. Try to be funny without doing that and it will work a lot better for you. Also, I typically suggest calling the girl the first time you make contact, rather than texting, as calls are a lot more personal and don't get ignored as often. If you don't hear back from her via text, then give it another day and then give her a call, that way you don't come off as a crazy stalker. A lot of guys will say that the whole rose thing is a terrible idea and if you had been trying to get with her all night, or come off as really insecure and needy, then it would be, but from the sounds of things you pulled it off quite well! Don't worry about using lines and routines, that really isn't the point. Your goal should be to understand what works with women and then you can do those things while still just being yourself.

Thanks a lot for all the insight! I really appreciate it. Hopefully I get a text back from her sometime today, if not, I'll give her a call tomorrow. Thanks again! And yea, as far as the rose goes, I mean she was just standing there, I don't think anyone had approached her all night because she was with 2 guy friends of hers that were from outta state, they were actually standing next to me at the table doing some other BS when I just popped in there and handed it to her, she was at a VIP table. So after I gave her the rose and started talking to her, the guy who had the VIP table (I have no idea how she knew him) and her other 2 friends kept trying to interrupt, especially the guy who bought the table, he kept going over trying to whisper stuff in her ear, and she would just look at me when any of them did that and roll her eyes which I thought was a good sign. |
