I know this girl who calls herself ugly or stupid on certain occasions .. My friend told me it's a way for fishing compliments ...So what should I say or do when she says something like that next time . What is the intention behind it.. |

She's seeking validation. Girls, younger ones even more so, can can have a low self esteem. I reassure her by blowing it off, and change gears. "Don't be silly! let's get ice cream." |

Good one Heywood Jablowme. I have done that before and I also recommend doing like Alfie does and say that you "only give a compliment when least expected" I personally love interrupting the shit out of a girl much later when she is BLAH BLAH BLAHing. Some of them can just talk too damn much so you raise your finger, "shush" her lips, pause and tell her what an amazing body she has. She will melt. Watch "Alfie" from 2004 with Jude Law |

I always agree with them. And they'll usually snap out of it then. Don't fall for the bullshit. She says " I'm ugly" you say.. " yeah your hideous" or a variation. But agree with her. And then shrug your shoulders and change the topic when she gives you the " the look". She'll stop it. I personally don't like that low self esteem, somebody save me ish. |
