Hey brothers, few things:

Just ended a 7 yr relationship so needless to say I'm overly excited by any hb7 or over at the moment. On Monday I met this girl on Tinder and met up with her one time. Afterward she said I seemed like a nice, normal guy which "is hard to come by" and texting went well. I immediately scheduled a second meet for next Sat. because of her work schedule. Since then I am still making her laugh, have had one phone conversation which went well from what I can tell. When the first Sat came around I asked her to drop work to have a drink with me which she said she couldn't do but that sounded like loads more fun, and I quickly joked about it and defused the situation. I send her 1-2 texts a day always in an effort to make her laugh (memes, jokes, etc) which from what I understand is not over bearing. She never initiates convos but this could be normal. I have been out of the game so long I don't know anymore. So here are my questions:

Since the date is already set, do I now back off heavily or completely until Sat?

Have I made any mistakes?

What subjects should I be texting her if I shouldn't stop to keep her attention?

I am also talking to other women on Tinder but this one is by far the most attractive (hb8-9 for sure) so I don't want to fuck this up.

In my experience, if they respond but don't ask any questions, it usually means it's going bad. If she only replies to you but doesn't give you anything, it is bad

When she is texting you 'How are you today?' - that's when you know things are good.

I'm no expert but in my opinion i would not give up just yet. I would definitely cut down on the text messages though. I wouldn't text her every day - maybe every few days. If she responds to your texts thats a good sign however if her responses are only answers to your questions without asking anything back or making conversation then it tends to lean more so to the idea that she may not be interested.

Try and set a date with her and see how it goes and always try to remember that whatever happens this is not the be all and end all - its just a bit of fun. <- Going to try take my own advice one day :D

Yeah. Usually when it gets to the point I will just ask when she free to meet and then put the pressure on her to flake or to decide. Either way, you find out the truth and save some time with "how are you doing today?" Texts

1) Back off heavily
2) Yes
3) You should stop texting her unless you have something "high value" to offer

Don't text her "funny" things...only text her when you have something "cool" going on.

Remember: the hardest date to land is the first one...everything else is downhill from there

Why not text funny things? You can text anything, literally, as long as it sparks up some emotion in her.

Don't be that guy that always plays it overly-cool. That's tryhard and cringey.
Also the first date is the easiest to land. Getting girls is a helluva lot easier than keeping them for the vast majority of PU guys.

Thanks all the routines, canned material and scripts that will portray you as the coolest guy on earth right up until she takes a look at who you really are.
