Post subject:  Handling this text "flake"...

So here is the case:
We arranged from the day before to meet at 6pm for a walk and then go to free French lesson together.

Then the next day (which is today) she texts me: " hey i'm gonna go to this foreign movie at 7 want to come with me, I'll skip the French lesson"

And few hours later I responded with: "I had desire to see each other, but I'm not that of a big fan of foreign movies. Plus I need to go to the lesson, I'll need to talk to someone there. We can meet for about an hour after you movie finishes".

With that I tried to demonstrate value by 1) not changing my pre-arranged plans because of her, and 2) indicating I have limited time.

I tried to think how to best handle this and thats what came best for me.

I don't know if that was the best response, what would you do/suggest if you were in that case ?

Note that I know this girl for a long time, and there had been another times she flaked me, but there were also times we hanged together.

I don't know - sounds like she wanted to see you but a french lesson sounds incredibly boring to her.

I can't say I blame her... That's not much of a date... But I don't know either of you.

She suggested an alternative... And it was even a 'related' alternative (as long as that foreign movie was french)... Take it or leave it.

I don't blame her neither. I denied, so if I changed my plans because of her I look like a pawn => not attractive.

At least now I keep my options for a further better date.

You won't ever look attractive if you put a woman in an environment that she does not want to be in.

This is a good example of game doing more harm than good.

My response to her alternative option:

me- "sure, why not'

no gamey, frame, supplication battles. it wasn't a shit test. She just wants to do something else. Now you're at risk of losing her but I am sure you will be do just fine, just learn to switch game mode off and just be normal.

Exactly. Sometimes all the game stuff is just completely unnecessary. Let's see, go to some boring lesson or chill in a cinema watching a foreign film. I know which one I would have preferred to do.

Yea... thing is last week we went to the French lessons. Usually is not that boring since a friend of ours is the teacher and its fun. (well at least for me).

But yea I agree switching game off and being normal sometimes works. Depends on the situation.

Anyway thats gone, I just wanted to see it from another perspective.

She gave you compliance test. She might have wanted to go see a movie instead, but this is also a good time to show you are pre selected by other women. Someone who is pre selected wont be as compliant with women as guys who arnt pre selected. If you say yes you failed the compliance test. if you say no you're a dick. So what do you do? make it on your own terms. say,"I'll go to the movie only if your buy the popcorn." "I'll go to the movie if I can have the Isle seat." It works a lot better to call her for this conversation. I think texting through a compliance test makes you sound needy.

No. She wanted to go to a movie instead of a class.

Yea she actually wanted to go to a movie, but it also looked a lot like a compliance test.

Well guess what: 2 days later she texts me with: "The movie was great, you missed a lot by not cumming, there were also some friends of your there too"

Ha I take that as some sort of IOI and trying to invoke guilt in me. Why she would text me at 9pm 2 days afther the movie is over ?

Anyway I responded with: "Well if I had come I would rob you from the pleasure to tell the story to me in person"

Women sometimes act very unpredictable.

Maybe its not intended to be a compliance test, but as far as what to say back to that, treat it like a compliance test. Just to kinda DHV. That's just my opinion.
