I met this girl a couple weeks ago and got her number. I texted her a couple days later. She responded and we kept texting a little over the course of about a week and a half. I told her I wanted to take her out. She responded with 2 long texts talking about how she's really busy and if I could only see what her schedule is for the next two weeks. I responded back by saying I understand and I wouldn't try to push her to come out with me and it's cool if she needs to focus on school and work. I told her I'd give her a call in a couple weeks after her schedule eased up. It's been two weeks now with no communication. Obviously, this could have been her polite way of saying she's not interested while avoiding any kind of guilt. I'm debating if I should send a playful text after another week and see if there's any response. I'm not crazy about this girl I don't really know her and I do have other women in my life, but I was attracted to her and definitely interested. Any one have a positive experience like this where the girl was legitimately too busy and things worked out?

Simple.

Don't over complicate things. Ask her if she's down for coffee/beer or anything you like and tell her that you're only free for an hour or two, that will make her not want to flake because you have set a time for your date. If she rejects, politely tell her Ok and move on, nothing more and nothing less.

Don't waste your time on a girl who keeps flaking when you can spend it getting laid with another.

You think I'd be better off first contact after a few weeks of not talking to say, "if your schedule's freed up let's grab coffee. I'm free tomorrow night after 8." Or try to ease into with a first text that's just playful to see if she even responds?

Personally, I wouldn't have waited so long If you had any connection you lost momentum by falling out of contact. I would open with something playful and low pressure.

"Just drifting out of contact feels unsatisfying - I want a brutal dumping text or a catch up coffee next week."

That is a go text opener for me in a situation that is losing momentum, but it also totally congruent with the rest of my game.

You made contact intially, but she blew you off. The way I have always seen it is it doesnt matter how busy a chick's life really is, if she's into you she'll make time to see you. I operate on basic philosophy and that is I have no problem being the one to ask her out first, but if she makes excuses as to why she cant see me, I wont ask her again. She gets one chance and then its up to her to ask me. If she doesnt, we're done.

Dont lower your value by pestering her for dates. No alpha male operates that way. If you havent contacted her for a week or so and she wants to see you bad enough, she will contact you. Simple as that. If her communication is poor, write her off and find another.
