Just number closed my first 9 in a while. Fuck, maybe my first 9 ever. Catch this girl on the subway (she nearly bumped into me on the street above, then I meet her down) and approach her saying "no phoning while walking" etc. We talk for maybe 10 minutes as we switch trains and walk the platforms. She is studying at uni, so maybe 8-10 years younger than me. We are both foreigners but from the same country. It was a relaxed pleasant talk. I asked how she is coping away from home. Her train arrives and I get her number. At first she seemed hesitant or didn't expect it then I said it would be nice to grab a coffee with someone from your same background and she did. Number is real. I guess in 10 minutes on a busy subway it is difficult to establish rapport and get IOIs. So what is the best text? The "fun" "sexual innuendo" texts that some have suggestion in other threads would not be appropriate with this girl. The coffee suggestion we know is DEATH BORING so I was thinking of a fun day activity but that would require 2hrs commitment. Too much? |

Get her somewhere you can be close to her & kino escalate. You are the fun she is potentially looking for, not the activity. Coffee is the opposite boring if the company is exciting.Congrats on the # close. |

Thanks. I sent, something light, like "I hope you are not crashing into people etc and that she is the second most interesting person I met" that day, without setting a date yet to see if there was a response. No answer. The girls from where she is from are notoriously hard to get, a random guy on the streets is way down in the priority list. Also around brief encounter wouldn't have created a typical back and worth banter as seen in other text game threads. Anyway, I am going to text her one more time closer to the weekend with an activity suggestion. I was thinking, Ice Skating!, and see if it catches on. Or maybe I should just CALL HER. I have no problem in calling a girl up as long as it doesn't come across desperate. If this fails, oh well. I will take it as a successful exercise in approaching a HB on a busy subway station and move on. |

Thanks. well let me specify texting is HUGE in my country..but perhaps not with someone you randomly meet on the streets. amongst circle of friends and flirting within that circle I believe it is just like anywhere. |

Yeah, I'm thinking texting for a date to girls met quickly on the street would be totally applicable then as long as there was a spark/interest on their part. But yeah I'd definitely call her based on the non-response to the text which as we know can happen in any country

First and foremost, never call, only text. The number might be cold because of your needy behaviour but make sure to text her something funny and unexpected ( use your imagination) |

I had already texted her and there was no response. Then for me calling is DMV. I always feel someone who has the guts to call means they are confident. Anyway, I deleted her number. She wasn't interested. moving on. I might bump into her at some cultural event in our city. If that happens I am going to have a field day with her! |

I never call after a number close,but at your current situation calling would be a risk worth taking,and if/when she answered you could say "Hey,hope you are not walking at the moment",something to remind her of your opener and make her giggle !
