Post subject:  Help with setting up date

Bit stuck with this one, met a girl in a bar went back to hers with a friend of mine and one of hers. Her friend has been into mine for ages so they were hooking up. I was on wing duty. We were left together n got on. Plenty of kino, and laughs. I think she was suprised to find how much I opened her up, told me about her relationship that ended a month ago n she's not into guys much SPAM(BS). So I leave she's very complementary, I say I'll text her.

Text her couple of days later, build a bit of rapport n go for date. Says she's busy that night but I am playfully persistent and try to persuade for the meet. She continues to respond but glosses over n asks me more questions. I drop it n later that night she texts again asking me about something we've covered. I don't respond because on the one hand she maybe needs more of a connection. But on the other I only use phone to set up dates and don't want to fall into trap of being text buddy or typical loser who texts girls to no end.

Advice - I'm thinking leave it a few days n just try to set up date again. We talked about ex relationships on the night and both agreed that our time is valuable to us and we don't like it wasted. If she again turns down date is it advisable to bring this up as a way of basically saying - hey last chance. I won't be back. I know there is a chance she is not interested and can accept that but I think it's more if a test. We also talked about needy guys and she showed me messages from this desperate guy who texts her. I even pointed out to her where he was going wrong (subtly - like she doesn't already know) lol . So any suggestions on next move. Muchos appreciato

Yea, wait a couple days, and set up another date. Be assertive, and don't ask her "if she wants to hang out".

Try something like: "Let's get ice cream this Friday."

Thanks for getting back, I will do this. I'm meeting a different girl at end of the week and busy over the weekend so won't be able to do this until next week. Should I send a text or two before then to stay on her radar or just wait. She sent the last text if that makes any difference?

Yes, you should text her. As you mentioned, there's no point for either of you to waste time by playing games. Just set something up for next week and if she's not interested, then move on.

Depends how bad you want it.

If you want to hit it bad, just text back her questions, but make them short and precise, only answer what is needed and nothing more. Leave most of your texts like texts that don't need a response. If she keeps responding to your texts that don't seem to invoke response, she is into you, shes just not sure about you.

But yea obviously set up something once in a while see if shes down. Be assertive and precise, no smileys

Thanks to all for the advice. I've followed this and shot for the meet again a couple of times. She said she's shy so I've tried to get more of a connection but she avoids my attempts to meet but always responds even to statements. I've teased her about being a text addict/hermit. Is it time to write her off? I was thinking of texting something like..I refuse to satisfy your text addiction until you take me out for lattes..or just come right out direct with..so are we ever going to meet for... Something to that effect. Thoughts?
