Post subject:  text - "by the way how old are you"?

Talking to a 3 set (19 yr olds). I'm 27, the 2 guys that were with me are in their 30s.

I chose the hottest girl (hb 8/9), kino, got her number. (I need to work on this k close thing!!!) By the way one of the guys with me got one of their numbers right as we left, which I didn't think was the plan. This may have worked against me... (she ignored him, and blocked him from whats ap)

We text back and forth the next couple days as it took sometimes hours for each other to reply. I try to organise for this week, but she asks when am I free next week, followed by:

"And random question, but how old are you? :p x"

We then send a few texts back and forth trying to guess each others age. Please don't ask why this wasn't established when we met - it just wasn't.

So when she finds out there's almost an 8 year gap she responds to my immediate change of subject with this:

"haha, yeah I guess, and yeah you were right :p. not much preparing for uni. It's gonna be a stressful year. My bf keeps moaning I have no time for him :/ x"

So I think this boyfriend is a make believe person that protects her from older boys ;). I responded by not addressing the moaning bf issue and again changed the subject, also asking her when her first day of uni is.

NO REPLY. It's been a day

Boys, what the fuck do I do???

cheers

"I don't know If you can handle this, know if you can handle me, you seem mature, but maybe not"

Then LEAVE it!

Hey man, thanks.

So that would be your way of calling her out on the fake boyfriend....

Would you wait for a reply?

That's my way of calling HER out, fuck the boyfriend - real or imagined.

Yes wait, she has only two options here, A. Qualify herself to you; e.g. "I am so mature, I can handle you, can you handle me?" B. Ignore you forever. Either way you win. If she chooses 'A' You get to take it from there and fuck said young lady.

If she chooses 'B' you get to dive right back in and pick out a better one.

P.S. You are free to dive while waiting.

One more thing, I'm expecting her not to reply now. Do I leave it a few days and send it anyway, or leave it?

Send it when you like, then leave it, nothing else unless you get a reply.

The best strategy is not to get into this situation in the first place. If you suspect an age gap may be an issue, you need to make that an attractive trait of yours which is very hard to do over text but very easy to do in real life.

Seriously dude. What the fuck are you doing hanging around 19 year olds and asking them out? Can't you get someone nearer your own age? You're nearly 30 man! She is still a teenager. She thinks you're too old for her and is dicking you around and you deserve it. Nothing turns teenage girls off than older guys sniffing around them. Have some dignity.

Hello Digital Spy

there was a table of hot girls, I opened them.

The age thing was not brought up until a text convo. An 8 year age gap is not a big deal. If it is for you, then fine. Obviously it isn't for me. I'm seeing a 38 year old, and have a date with someone my age. What's this bee in your bonnet about age?

This forum is for advice, and that was not advice was it sir?? Kindly do one now please.

Cheers

Hi,

I'm not following. I do need to improve so an explanation would be helpful

Hi,

how old are you?
what do you do for a living?
are you good at XYZ?
do you like XYZ?

^ the above are qualifications, people try to find congruence with what your ''identity'' is from a superficial standpoint, if they find out a quality about you they don't like at an early point in your rapport, they can dismiss you on superficial grounds, i.e. ohhh he's too old/young for me, or he like XYZ rock band, I don't like rock there fore I can't associate with XYZ person, he is XYZ zodiac sign we are no good for each other

how ever when someone likes you cause they just feel good emotionally around you, the longer and more investment they have in those emotions and connection, the less this is important, this is creating the rapport

Ok so the rapport we built was obviously not enough to combat her concern about the age gap. Its funny, she didn't ask until a couple of texts conversations. Whether it didn't matter to her at first, or she just didn't want to ask I guess is irrelevant... she turned off!

Thanks man, I still have lots to work on

Well you obviously didn't open them did you as you are getting nowhere with them and once again I think there is something wrong with you for sniffing around teenage girls when you are nearly 30. You just scream LOSER to them I bet. Give up buddy. They don't want you. Have some dignity. They were probably pretending to like you and are now laughing behind your back. Maybe you should DO ONE and stop embarrassing yourself over girls young enough to be your daughter.
