| Post subject: | After closing, why didn't she reply to my text the next day? |
Met a girl at a bar (probably a 7) and engaged in a smooth, casual conversation which lasted a good half hour. She was a bit bored prior to me starting to talk with her, so I felt like I jumped in at the right time and saved her. We got to know each other well and she seemed like she was very much interested in me as well (she had a genuine smile on which gradually became more and more noticeable throughout the later parts of our conversation and at moments when I would purposely stop talking, she would start again with a new topic--which I assume shows at least some interest on her part). Eventually she had to leave with her sister who seemed very polite, and so I told her we should definitely keep in touch, got her name, and stored her in my phone book, and said good night. The next day, I sent her a simple "Hello, how are you?" I never heard back from her, so I assumed maybe she gets texts from a lot of random dudes and realized I probably should have mentioned who it was (since she didn't have my number). And then the next day, I messaged her again saying hello and this time mentioned who I was: "The fella from the other night sitting next to you at the bar." It's been two days since that text and still no response from her. Zippo, zilch, nada. My fellow PUAs, did I make any obvious mistakes that I should be aware of next time, or it's possible that she was never interested to begin with, yet only held a conversation because she was bored and gave me her number to be polite? Feedback appreciated. Thanks in advance... |

There are so many maybes, it's not even worth the time to find out. Maybe, she was just bored. Maybe, you weren't that interesting. Maybe, she doesn't have text on her cheap ass phone she got from Walmart. Maybe, she dropped it in the toilet. Maybe she just found out she has Herpes, and shouldn't date just now. Maybe, she was hit by a bus. Who the fuck cares why, the point is, she didn't reply. No need to keep beating a dead horse. On to the next. You opened this one, and held her attention. Good job. Practice make perfect. |

As above ^ You didn't interest her enough with your game or text to get her to reply to you, it's really as simple as that. Girls don't always text back, it's the way it is. Sometimes girls text back then completely stop. Never send more than 3 texts to no reply, never! Move on and go get more numbers. |

What would have been an ideal first text? |

Definitely not the how are you's, the how was your days', etc. How many times has someone sent her this?? Something that reminds her of the sexy guy she was talking to the other night and how she was feeling in that moment. In that half hour was there an in joke shared that you could have referred to? Even better something even slightly sexual? Try something like "Hey its coolguy, I just saw a squirrel running away from a dog, and thought of you... what are your world domination plans today"? Whenever I haven't had a reply, this has always worked! Never send "Hey, how are you" again Women are emotional creatures. They act on whatever emotion they are feeling at that time. So if you can get her into the mindset that you seemed to have shared that night, that would be a starting point. |

(1) You didn't "close". A number close is hardly a close...The next day, I sent her a simple "Hello, how are you?" I never heard back from her, so I assumed maybe she gets texts from a lot of random dudes and realized I probably should have mentioned who it was (since she didn't have my number). Girls give out their number like jehovahs witnesses handing out pamphlets, it doesn't mean they aer interested necessarily. (3) There could be a bunch of reasons why, but the bottom line is she isn't interested. Sorry. Next time, do not settle for a number close; try to isolate and pull her to a different location. |

Thank you guys for your replies. So given this particular scenario, what are some ideal ways I could have correctly closed (as opposed to a simple "number close")? I know there are no strict rules, but I'd like to hear some of your methods. |
