Recently, for about 3 weeks or so, I've been seeing a new young lady: HB7. She's 20, I'm 24. We've known each other for sometime through friends and school (I just graduated) but I never really gamed her. On the 4th of July we were at a friends rooftop party and ended up alone vibing for quite a while. No one else we knew was really around us, so it seemed as if it was just us two with the city skyline and fireworks going just for us. The perfect set up. Anyway I got the number that night and we've gone to dinner, the movies and texting very consistently (Something I hate, I believe texting is like following a trail of breadcrumbs to the friendzone if you're not careful). The Girl is clearly attracted, and each date has gone well EXCEPT for the lack of f-closing/k-closing (purely circumstantial). Here's the rub: The other night we're texting, trying to work out a meet up for the night. Its getting late (about 1030-11), places are closing and we can't decide on a place. SHE then suggests watching a movie at my place. I live a pretty decent train ride away, so I tell her:
SH: Well if you came up here tonight, I just wouldnt be comfortable with you walking back to that janky dorm all late. You'd have to stay over
HB7: That'd work- is there food involved? And I thought you didn't have a TV?
SH: There could be food involved. have to order something cuz our fridge is tapped. I don't. I gotta laptop and a ton of movies tho
SH: Ooh this could work! It'd be a while though because I just got back to the dorm. Guess where I walked from?
She tells me where she walked from and as I prepare my palace for her arrival and shower, and the text convo is cool until I get this
HB7: i think it's maybe a little late for me to be heading out there
I take my time crafting my response. I was mostly deciding whether or not to respond at all. While i'm thinking about it, this text follows
HB7: aaaaand i haven't decided whether you're a killer or not
SH: Really? Ok. What'll it take to convince you otherwise?
SH: The killer thing I mean. I'm not gona beg you to come over
HB7: lol im teasing i know you're no axe murderer.
I decided to stop responding. And she sends this after 10 min.
HB7: wanna facetime? [
]I ignore it. The next day. I came to the forum, dug up some posts on ignoring girls after they flake and felt confident in my response. Like I said, she/ we have been back and forth texting all the time. She texts me at about 2pm, trying to restart one of our earlier convos. I completely ignore it. An hour later, she calls me
I ignore it. The plan was to punish her and let her keep texting until they got desperate, but I didn't expect the call. Should I just stay the course? Or do I call her up today, and if so what's the play here?
