So there's this girl I used to work with, not anymore. She used to act as if she was into me a while back and I always DHV'd and had a lot of social proof. We hung out a few times with big groups of everyone from work. I would consider her a friend, rather than some random girl I pick up and start dating. My problem is that whenever I go out with girls that I'm friends with, even if it's clear that she's into me, I tend to go AFC and not physically escalate at all. I have no problem escalating when it's some random girl I don't care about but I go chode when its someone who I actually value our friendship. Onto the night: I picked her up, gave her a hug when I first saw her, we drove to get a snack and ordered one drink each (not enough to get us tipsy unfortunately, so I couldn't blame it on the alcohol). After we went to see a movie. The entire night I didn't kino escalate at all other than one or two touches on the shoulder when talking. At the end I took her home and gave her a hug. On the way home we talked about this strip of bars we wanted to go to. We agreed next weekend we should go (not this weekend due to other plans). Hopefully she follows through with this and actually comes along. My plan is no contact until 1-2 nights before next weekend and then I'll see whats up. If we go I'll hug her when we first meet and while were still sober walking to bars I'll hold her hand. I feel if she complies with this I'll be able to do anything I want physically with her before the end of the night by treating her like I would any other date. Any advice to make this work? I am hooking up with a couple other girls right now so it's definitely not onesitis. My problem is rejection from a random girl is no big deal, but I fear rejection from a girl I'm actually friends with due to possibly getting awkward and losing the friendship. Any advice? |
