So I am overly confused on ow to handle this situation with a good friend. She has been broken up with her most recent boyfriend for over two weeks, but is still feeling emotional about it. We see and text each other often, but our conversation almost always include her saying I love you. This is an example from last night around 10:30: (Her) I love you. (Me) I love you too. (Her) I'm not gonna be alone forever right? (Me) How can you be alone if you have me? Did you get stranded on a deserted island? (Her) Ok good (Me) Are you planning on getting stranded on a deserted island? Because I don't know what I would do without you. (Her) No I don't. And if I do you'll come with. (Me) That would be okay. (Her) Ok good (Me) (Her) I have always found this friend to be attractive, but we have never been to able to take our relationship any further due to other comments. Is she just lonely and vulnerable or is she really looking for more. THanks for the wise words. |

Lonely and vulnerable and playing around with you and your emotions for a while until she gets bored. At this point she will find another twirl. |

Weigh your priorities. If you have better things to do, more important occupations for instance your career, dont waste your time bolstering this girls narcisism. Whatever you do, prepare for a tedious and thrilling cat and mouse game where you probably get baited in investing a lot with tentative return. But if you dont try you will also get nowhere . . . |
