Scenario: I'm meeting up with a girl that I used to study with for a few minutes. I text her "hey, I need to meet you in person for about 5 minutes to talk about something." She quickly and happily accepted. I've been flirting with her back and forth for a while and think she suspects I want to ask her out (we see each other at school all the time and I have her number, why else would I specifically ask to see her alone, to speak with her about something that can't be done over text/email/etc?) and while there seems to be reciprocal interest, I don't want this to be at all awkward. I want to meet her, remind her she's attracted to me (we haven't seen each other in over a month), make the situation light and fun, illicit a few laughs, then ask her on a "date" (though I have no intention of saying those words) without DLV'ing myself or acting too needy --even if she rejects. Advice on how to go about this? |

No dude, I would fuck with this girl. Tell her that you want to ask her something, and that you want to get her honest opinion because you feel like you and her are good friends. Tell her that this girl who used to live by you moved back into town and you never asked her out in the past but you think you and her would be a great match, but you don't want to mess up your friendship. Then say "So, do you think it's a good idea?" This is a good strategy because it will make her jealous. It will also be kind of a foreshadowing for the fact that you like her and want to ask her out. And you can also use her response to guage how much she likes you. I've noticed in the past that when a girl doesn't like you, she is more than eager to try and pawn you off onto another girl. So if she's like "Yea, great, go for it, she's all yours!" then you will probably know that she's not that into you in the first place. |
