Okay so this girl has a boyfriend. They've been together about 2 months (she never mentioned him before today - her fb status is single but I knew from his fb messages to her). I know she has a think for me I went round to hers after fetching her from the pub the other week and we made out a bit but when i tried to escalate she said it was too late and I should probably go. I think if I'd have persisted I could probably have gotten some action still then but it was late and we both had work early. Okay so she was out in town last night (without her bf) and I work as a club photographer so I saw her for a bit. I went home early cus skint and couldn't afford a night out etc. She text me this morning telling me how hungover she was and that she never saw me in MooMoos (Main town nightclub). Text for a little bit and I invited her round and said how we could carry on from where we left off the other night. She replied telling me she has a boyfriend and the other night shouldn't of happened. she thinks I'm really nice, lovely in fact but last week she was on a break with the bf and now they're trying to sort it out. She said she still wants to be good friends thou and hang out and meet up every now and again thou. I know I will get a response from all the mPUA's saying just move on, plenty more fish etc. This girl is literally perfect for me thou. I'm in the game to pull a nice girl, I'm not really fussed about sleeping around. Any advice? boyfriend destroyers? (not exactly sure what this is? or involves?) If its a lost cause its a lost cause etc but I know she's into me which is what is driving me nuts! |

A boyfriend destroyer is basically constructing a straw man and letting her tear him down. You can try to follow that strategy, or, alternatively, ignore the 'I have boyfriend' objection and treat it like a non-issue. This latter strategy entails that you continue to treat her as you have before you knew she had a boyfriend. I would think this is better in your case, because you would actually not want a boyfriend destroyer to work on your potential girlfriend. |

@timo: Thanks for that info and ye your right straw man seems like a good tactic but I can't see it working out well long term in this situation. Thanks for the advice and I'll let you know how I get on. |
