Hey guys so basically I'm meeting a HB tonight for drinks, we haven't met before as I got in touch with her through POF but talked on the phone twice. We are drinking wine, I have believed for a while not to buy a girl a drink on a first date but with wine you tend to buy bottles... I remember Style once said he didn't pay for a cheap meal thinking it made him DHV but he then figured out it made him DLV because the meal was cheap. So what do you guys think? Buy the bottle or split the bill? We are both students btw.... Also another question: How do I project I don't want this to become a relationship? I just want casual dating. What should I say if she asks about future commitments together? |

Easy solution, I would get the 1st one, say "Next one is on you Babe" humorously.Buy the bottle or split the bill? We are both students btw.... If there isn't a second, you should be making out by then. Quote: How do I project I don't want this to become a relationship? I just want casual dating. Two part question.1. Express/project your sexual intent and attraction all you want. That is perfectly fine. But, don’t let her know than that. It's just a 1st "Date" for shit sake. Stop over thinking. 2. Just say "Whoa girl, lets not set a wedding date just yet, I'm not that easy to nail down" also humorously. Also more over thinking. |

Awesome answers, cheers. You're right about 'over-thinking' it's because it's in two hours and the anxiety is building |

I like fucking with my dates, but that's just me. However, if you are slick, you can be humorous while at the same time hinting at the things you want them to do. When the check comes, don't even look at it for a while. Then when it's clear she is expecting you to pay it, be like "Ok, here's what we are going to do. I'm going to go and pull the car around front. You get up and pretend to go to the restroom and then just run out and hop in the car and we'll pull a dine-n-dash." She'll be like "What?! Screw that!" Then tell her: "Well I don't think I have enough to pay for this. I don't get paid till Friday. Besides, I've done this before, it's easy! Worst case scenario is they don't let you leave and make you wash dishes all night until the bill is worked off." You can make this as serious or as humorous as you like, and draw it out for as long as you want. Even if she knows your half joking, she'll stir in her seat and start thinking about chipping in some money to cover the bill. Yes, it'll make you seem cheap, but you can always be like "Haha, just kidding" if it goes too far. And even then you can still say "But seriously, do you wanna throw down like half or what?" |
