| Post subject: | Dealing with a girl getting over a long term relationship |
Hello, been into the whole thing for a few months now and since getting to uni, it clearly works. But the one thing I haven't been used to since getting into it is when stuff moves further than just seeing someone. So I met this girl in a club and we've been and stayed at each others flat multiple times, some sober times, others not. We'd been doing it for weeks and she said she liked me and I was kinda careful with what I said at the time. This girl is the best out of all the girls I've been with, so didn't fancy wasting it. But anyway, after I hadn't given her any hints, she was with another guy in the club right in front of me. She explained later that night she told me that she wanted me to take her out and thats why she was bored, so we did twice after that, splitting costs. She also wanted to know there and then if I liked her or not. She said she wasn't really seeing anyone else apart from me. And she was loving it, then all of a sudden she clearly over thought stuff. She'd previously been in a relationship before coming to uni for 3+ years She was confusing herself and wanted some independence, which I was happy with I wasn't in any kind of rush to get into a relationship. But thought I was a player first, then thought I wanted a relationship cause of how we both were when we went out, so I told her how I felt and then things were cool and she stayed at mine that night. Yesterday we went out and the same subject came up and stuff was confusing and she wanted to keep it casual, basically until she's independent enough/over her previous relationship. It wasn't said, but thats what it would take. So, to keep the ball rolling, I should just be my best self etc? I want to keep the attraction there, but I'm genuinely wanting to make the effort for this one. It's just gauging the pace of things. I know it's not impossible, but I'm just not sure what to do at this point (Tried my best to get this in the right category but can't post in some topics etc) Cheers |
