Quick backstory: we've gone out for dinner once, text a lot, noticed she wears make-up whenever she's with me (even it's just for studying) whereas she doesn't with others. Text: Do you have exams next week? Her: Nope Text: Okay let's do a movie date Her: I'm super sorry but to be honest I don't think I'd be comfortable with that Text: Ohh iite its cool Her: yay I'm glad Text: Lool you're a strange one Her: Why?! Just drop and move on? Not sure what this is |

I would honestly belittle her at that point. I'd reply: "Why not, don't you like guys?" I don't know your age, so maybe this is just a kid we are talking about. If that is the case, she may have a lot of pressure from her parents about dating or be a virgin or something. My poor sister had a mentally ill mother who poisoned her mind about guys and dating and I know tons of guys tried to get with her and got rejected like this. So it may not always be the girls fault, nor yours. |

thanks for the replies guys, to puaninja; we're about 20/21 (college) She's a bit conservative (more towards the religious side) but i haven't seen that stop other girls before. Would it be better to lay off for a while? |

I'd do what puaninja said: belittle her. And in a week ask her to go to another event. If she gives the same b.s excuse move on. |
