You were sticking too close to classic PUA training - you had her, a number close was going to happen, but you were too cocky in an effort to win the prize you already had, and she called you out on it.

Classic PUA training is flawed in that it tries to pretend there is a set of steps to get a result every time. Getting along with women is the complete opposite of that. Some of it works because yes you should have good ideas on hand, but the guiding principal is being able to go with the flow and sense her mood.

Also, classic PUA training doesn't allow for different personality types of women. A lot of that macho posturing will work on more submissive women, but more assertive women (my favorite, the more energetic in bed) will sense your bullshit a mile off and call you out on it.

More assertive women will expect to be treated as your equal. So when she asks for your number, you simply both swap numbers, like it always happens.

Ok, so i chatted up a 2 set last night, tested a new opener that is really effective!! Dhv story, the 2nd girl of the group went to the toilet so i sat next to the other, kinoed was going awesome!! Other girl came back, push pulled target and talked to obstacle. They said they had to go soon (i didnt give a false time constraint to start, should've) i said i had to get back to my friends anyway.. the target hit me up for my number. I told her i dont give my number out, but i'd take hers and call her back. She said well, we've hit a stalemate, i dont give my number out either.. I said something along the lines of damn, too bad. wished them a good night, got her to kiss my cheek then left.. Didnt have anything to get her number after that.. Anyone got a good come back when they say they dont give their number out either.. Afterwards i thought i could've played the 5 lies game and bet the phone number..??

I'm new to this and i've had more success with the "step by step" that i didnt take into account the human factor.. It should be used as a guide to get girls to open up so you can have a genuine conversation.. Thanks again, I'll keep it in mind tonight.

Spot on mate - step by steps are "tools" but once you're having a good time, the signals for what to do next are there to follow, it moves completely from logical to emotional thinking. It's like sex - you learn where the spots are, etc. but you're not going through a set of steps in your head once you're both having fun... you're just having a good time!

~EDIT MODS~ DON'T SPAM check this video out to see an example of how to number close with no pressure of complexed tricks. routines... it's very natural and comes off smooth.. in a sense almost afc like which I find is better then being all cocky and player like as women can see through this bullshit act and will jsut think your a total creep.
