I'm assuming you wrote this...she's not putting you down. That was a misread for sure. Second, asking her whens the next time she is free w/o having talked to her, without establishing anything with her, is too vague, and puts her in an awkward position. Because if she responds with a certain day, than she may have to commit to doing something with you. This is why you get the next response.
