I need some advice...I'll try and keep this as short as I can. Met online. (Sunday) Had two >45min convos over the phone and some texts before we met for coffee. The coffee date lasted 1.5hrs. (Friday). Long hug and tight squeeze, to which she responded "awww" Definite mutual attraction, but she kept jokingly mentioned that we are just friends, to which I responded back, jokingly, "I don't need a friend" 2 days later, we played tennis. Did some Kino, teaching her how to play. (2nd Sunday). Played for 1.5hrs, lots of chatting, told me about her adventures. She kinda wanted me to take her out for dinner later that night, but I was busy. So we scheduled it for the next day. Dinner date. (Monday). Pretty good conversation, more of her "we are just friends" mentioning, to which I had the same reply of "no we are not." Walked around the shopping complex for a bit. Easy conversation, no kino on my part... Since I didn't escalate I didn't kiss her. Long hug again... Oh and she wanted to pitch in for dinner, I had to refuse multiple times...and eventually succeeded. Texts throughout the week, mostly initiated by me. She is very short on texts but super easy and chatty in person. Not sure what's up with that. Talked to her on the phone a few times as well. Late night happy hour (Thursday). She said she was bringing a friend, I said fine. She brought her friend and the friends boyfriend. Played pool, I killed! Both the convo and at the game. Slight kino teaching her how to play. Sat close to her when seated. More friendly banter about her wanting to pay and me not letting her. At this point, before going on this date, I convinced myself that I have to kiss her today to avoid being in the friend zone. So I walked her to her car and talked for a while again. She told me about her weekend plans and wanted to play tennis again on Sunday. She went for the hug...so I gave her a hug and when she was walking away, I said, "wait I owe you something" in a cute way. Fuck! I know, I messed up here trying to force it. To which she responds "what you already paid for everything", I took a step towards her and she said "what a kiss?". Me: well yes, we have been out 3 or 4 times her: Oh you know I don't do that Me: (blank smiling face, thinking wtf...) her: we are just friends me: we are more than that her: ohhh, are you ok? (multiple times). Me: yes yes I am fine her: are we ok? (multiple times) Me: yes we are fine Gave her another hug and said "I'll see you sunday" I texted her when I got home: Me: sorry for the awkward situation. Its just that I like you and I wanted you to know Her: I know but let's talk abt it in person Me: alright. good night Her: don't sweat it That was all thursday. I didn't contact her at all til saturday night when my buddy convinced me to text her asking if she was in the city, because she said she would be. A few more texts and ended it. Today (Sunday). I text her in the afternoon Me: wanna meet up for coffee later Her: today will be hard for me Me: alright maybe sometime during the week then She is going on vacation at the end of this week, so she might be busy... Ok, I know she likes me, because she has sent me pics of herself at like 1am...all pg of course. I have helped her with her resume and cover letter quite a bit, helping her with her job search. We both are Indian. Not really sure why she said "she doesn't do that" to a kiss? Maybe she wants to take it SUPER slow or maybe has never kissed anyone before and is waiting for the ONE? But at the same time she's party animal! plan of action: I am not planning on texting her at all until the end of the week if she doesn't text me by then. Is this a lost cause? I am REALLY hoping that it's not cause I REALLY like this girl. She's HOT! But if it is I really would like to know now and move on. What do you guys think? |
