was in starbucks earlier when a beauty sat at the table next to mine. I was on my own as was she, so i got over my approach anxiety and introduced myself. we hit it off and spoke for abou fifteen minutes, i think she was into me (or at least i got no indications that she wasn't). we both went outside to smoke... she need to go back to work and i happend to be going that way, so i offed a lift and she accepted. everything was good but i didn't know how to close... everyone says, you have to get her to offer her number to you and not ask for it yourself... so i waited... and lost my opportunity! any useful information or closing lines? |

a number is better than no number no matter how you get it. just maybe ask for it as she is walking away like oh shit forgot to ask ur number... i'm no pro though so dont quote me. |

just say hey i know your in a rush, but you seem cool. we should catch up some time and go get a coffee, give me your number. Act casual about it and dont be nervous when getting her number. |

"everyone" isn't always right. and in fact, not everyone even says that. To ask for a number after having a good time with someone, try this one: "Hey, its been fun, hasn't it, so if you can see us meeting again and having a good time, why don't you give me your number, because it'll be great to hang out" Uses a lot of hypnotic principles: Hey - focus attention its been fun - lost performative causes subliminal assertion that its been fun for HER hasn't it - tag question makes it harder for subconscious to say "no it hasnt" helps you get a YES see us meeting again - she will actually imagine it in order to understand the phrase, so she obviously CAN see it, gives you another "yes" having a good time - she will also imagine this, another yes why don't you - subtly dominant, and appeals to the possibility of mismatchers, people who always automatically think of the opposite give me your number - subliminal command because - giving a "because" even a null one, gives big +1 to your YES factor it'll be great to hang out - another lost performative, and sets up a positive future frame. When she imagines this, after all those yeses, it'll almost be like she already said yes. Now, even a carefully worded and delivered hypnotic sandwich like this will fail if you don't start with the cornerstone of a good experience with her to build all those YES's out of.....But it sounds like that wasn't a problem. If you want another chance with her, make a point of being there for coffee at the same time on a regular basis. People are creatures of habit, and its fairly good odds she'll come in round the same time for coffee sooner or later. |
