One of my sticking points is talking on the phone. I've always hated it, so I generally don't do it and try to stick to texting. I met a girl online and she wants to talk to me over the phone before we meet. I tried to play it off and avoid it by saying "Talk over the phone? People still do that??" She laughed, but didn't budge. She replied "I'd love to get together this weekend, but why don't you call me first. here's my number XXXXXXXXXX" I don't want to get caught in a lengthy conversation where she is asking me interview style questions. I want to keep the conversation short, fun, and flirty; set up the date and get out. The problem is, I'd be calling her only because she wants me to call her, not because I have something that I want to call her about. So, are there any good books or articles out there that focus solely on the phone conversation aspect of phone game (I'm set on text game)? Or does anyone have some rock solid advice they would like to share? |

In this case you already told her you dont like to call so by backing down and not setting a boundary you may be showing inconsistency by calling. I only call when I think its going to help my game, not when they ask me to, unless i've slept with them then I may be a little more conciliatory. Under the same online circumstances Ive had online chicks ask me to call, IM, and even send more photos then the ones I've posted. My answer to all three requests has been the same once the cocky funny stuff didn't deter them. The answer is "No". You have to be willing to walk away. By the way none of them have walked away from meeting up after I shut them down. |

unfortunately there is no rock solid advice. The only person who can find what would be best for you and your text game are you, most of the game you would learn by trial and error or a guy who would have a understanding of your gaming style. You can find a lot of material on web but that would be useless unless you can relate yourself to that advice. We have chatrooms and nimbuzz where we discuss certain aspects of the game.
