Post subject:  Smiling girls: How to approach?
Heyy Guys,

First of all, awesome forum! I'm glad I found this forum.Today I experienced a major fail(i.m.o.) because normally im not that bad with girls, but today I was really mad at my self.

The situation:

Today I was at riding on my scooter to get a package that I ordered. I have a kind of Vespa-ish scooter and I dont have to use a helmet. So anyway I was riding slowly through the streets when I saw 2 hot girls eating at the Subway(they were sitting outside). As I was passing them slowly with my scooter, one girl started smiling at me, and she kind of ''warned'' the other girl and she turned her head to see my aswell, and started to smile too. Ofcourse I kept looking at them and I was smiling back. As I passed the girls I had to look forward again because I was riding in a crowded street.So at that moment I decided to first get my package, then park my scooter somewhere and get back to see if I could get in contact with them.

unfortunately when I came back (5/10 min later) they were gone.... and I was really mad at my self because I felt like I failed, mainly because they already showed some interest in me. I should have done something before getting the package.

But the thing is: I didn't know what to do. Turning back and stop by to talk didn't seem like a good plan. I wouldn't know what to say and it would have felt too random.

So anyway, I decided to never undergo such a fail again, and thats why I posted here to ask: What should I have done from the moment we were smiling at each other and I passed them? How should I have approached it?

When girls smile at you, it's pretty much an open invitation to come speak to them.

The moment has already passed and there isn't much you can do about the past, but if I were in that situation, I would have pulled over and stopped and given them a time constraint, then asked for their number.

Usually I give false time constraints, but in this case it would have been true. You really needed to go somewhere.

Yeah, thats why I feel so stupid, for taking that open invitation.

But lets say you pulled over and went over to them, how would you start? Like what would you say. Normally at a party or something it's easy to talk about something, but I don't know what to say in such situation.

You literally wouldn't have to say much.

Introduction
Time Constraint
Number Close

You: Hey how's it going?
Them: We're fine
You: Great... What are your names?
Them: I'm blah blah and I'm blah blah
You: Nice to meet you blah blah and blah blah, I'm Tzr. Look, I'm a little pressed for time right now. I was actually on my way to go pick up a package, when I saw you smiling at me (you instead of them because you should be focused on one target by this point). I would love to sit here and chat, but like I said I have some where I need to go at the moment. Let me get your number so we can meet up some other time and have a decent conversation.

Omg I can just kill myself right now. Im imagining the whole situation, and indeed, that would be the perfect way to approach it. FCKKKK xD

Well anyway, next time with a girl im gonna use that one. And since im most of the time on my scooter, I can always use the ''I have to somewhere right now, but give me your......''

Every situation is different dude. Sometimes you may need to do a time constraint before you even make an introduction....

you telling us that they smiled at you leads me to believe that she was interested. At that point most of the work is done for you. All you have to do is not mess it up, and by keeping the convo simple and quick, there is a less likely chance you will mess it up.

Either way... good luck and don't let opportunities pass you up. you'll kick yourself after wards!

Personally, I smile a lot when I pass by people. Boys, old people, hot girls, ugly girls. If every person I smile at would think I am interested by them. I must be the numer 1 Creeper in town!

I usually don't approach a girl because she smiled at me, as it doesn't mean much to me.

However, if I do, i say something like : So, you often look up and smile to people and just not talk to them?

Or something along these lines...

In this case, the time constraint let's the lady know that he's not trying to be rude. Ever see the guy that goes up to every woman and asks for their phone number without trying to have a conversation? Let's say you have a really good looking guy that does this to 10 women. He may get 3 out of those 10. Out of those 3 he may get 1 to actually meet up with him for a date. Women give out numbers all the time. Doesn't really mean anything unless you have built a rapport with them. Unfortunately, the OP is unable to do this, so he gives her a time constraint.

Giving a false time constraint is totally different though. You do this before you even introduce yourself. Women get hit on all the time, and when you approach, the first thing that will go through her mind is, "Who is this guy and when is he going to leave?" Giving a false time constraint lowers her defenses and lets her know that you won't be staying around forever. This will now give you the opportunity to open her and actually have her listen to you. After you build some attraction, she will want you to stay. Later on, you can give her another false time constraint, which should cause her to chase you instead of the other way around.

if a girls smiles at u, walk right up to her and open. dont say anything about her smile
just smile back. a smile is a secret code from her to u. she doesnt want all her friends knowing she smiled
