The ‘bitch’ shield(as most you refer to as) is something that I get challenged by pretty often. I came to the conclusion that there are two types of shields.(I chose not to use the word ‘bitch’ shield because I personally don’t like using the word under any circumstances.)
1) The attack shield: The target displays active disinterests, but leaves several opportunities for negging and C&F.
2) The aloof/passive shield: The target displays little to no reaction and makes it clear as possible that she does not want to be bother.

I’m sure many of you have experienced both from time to time. My question is, how do you deal with the aloof bitch shield, which is a strong IOD and gives you little to nothing to work with. What techniques to you use to work around this? Seems as though you just can’t say anything without looking crazy and you’re talking to yourself. How would you ever close a set like this?
Also, how do you react to IODs? Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like a conversation ended to respond to an IOD with another IOD, especially with direct approaches. What am I missing here?

ive had some difficulties with the aloof bitch shield. last nite for instance i couldnt break it down or get a response with an IOI from this one girl, and because of this i wanted her more because of the challenge. tried the usual openers n negs and DHVs with no response. i think the main problem was that she was with one friend, if it were a 4 set i would probably adopt the win the group, win the girl approach, n isolate. any aloof bitch test from dere i would turn as if to walk away take a step or two, then turn around n say something like "im going over here to have some fun (wait a seocnd or two) you coming?" trying to knock her back down n play up to you some more, as if she bores you. i do have trouble with IODs, prob worst part of my game!

You should try to make her talk, ask her questions, and comment on what she's answering.
