Do you think alcohol makes you more likely to revert to AFC behavior, despite your better intellectual judgment? I think I cracked a little bit under the influence of 2 framboises. Gave some IOI to a waitress that I thought was cute, spending a little too much time tracking her around the room, and had a goofy look when I did it. I felt very AFC at the moment, trying to hide my attraction. I got a lid on it pretty quickly and hopefully she was too busy to pay it much thought. Earlier in the evening, I just sat down at a table with my artist materials, proceeded to draw, and completely ignored her for at least a half hour. The art routine is my DHV schtick. I already had a framboise when I sat down, so I didn't need her services. When it emptied I did perfunctorily order another one, no IOI. She was late getting it because it got really busy, and she had gotten stuck with being the only server in the whole house. I was slightly perturbed when she said "it's coming soon," but I made a deliberate point to be smiling, gracious, and thankful when she finally arrived with it. This definitely scored points, that I wasn't an asshole and understood her situation. Of course I had been a curt customer the entire time before, so as far as I'm concerned, a good move on my part and not at all AFC. It paid off later when she used half of my empty table to lay her drink tray down on. Building some rapport there. These loud assholes came in later. Giant meatheads who are pretty ripped already and think their voice needs to be up to 11 to have a good time. I decided I shouldn't be annoyed with it, I should use it, so like everything else in this bar that was weird or uncomfortable I drew it! I told the waitress "I'm drawing the noise." It was a series of piercing colored arrows coming from "that direction." The waitress said she's into it. In truth the meatheads were really obnoxious and I definitely wanted to get the hell out of there once I had done enough drawing. The waitress was busy as shit too, this sure wasn't the time to wait around and try to hit on her later. I figured leaving on the high note was my best strategy. There's nothing stopping me from going back to this bar on an off-night when things are more sane. I also met the owner of the bar and he liked having an artist in there. Asked if I did any good stuff of the bar, that I would show him the work. I can play this for a round 2. Actually I could do it with several venues around town I suppose. So I merely regret this moment of wavering where I got just tipsy enough to sorta lose it for a moment. Anyone else find themselves doing that? |

this opinion is merely from watching ALOT of mysterys videos by the way...i seen 2 potential ways to convey value to your target... your first way would have been to open the set of guys, even thought they are guys it would hit on a hardwired attraction switch of social proof and leader of men and you could open in A3 with something such as "so what do you have goin for you other than your looks"(credit to mystery), also talking too the owner of the bar makes your value go up because it then associates you with a owner of a bar and that would show value to more of the hired guns because you associate with the person that controls whether or not the have a job and such... i would go there next time have some drawings of the bar and talk to the owner as soon as i got there too DHV to the hired guns then just make them qualify to you... and i like drinking before i go out, i dont get blitzed but i like getting a bit of a buzz where i dont care about opening and have more balls about doing new routines or negging harder but thats just my opinion |

Oh my god no you've gotta be completely fucking kidding me. These guys were big drunken asshole jock losers. They did this totally asshole routine forcing 2 gals to sit down with them that didn't exactly want to be there, and that I didn't really want to fuck. Leader of men my ass, more like leader of losers, cranked to 11. I am far more DHV sitting there drawing, doing my own thing, and building up some rapport with the hot waitress who knows these guys are assholes but gets paid to serve them. You may have half a point though, that I could open groups of people who are not assholes and demonstrate my social eptitude to the hired gun that way.Quote: also talking too the owner of the bar makes your value go up because it then associates you with a owner of a bar and that would show value to more of the hired guns because you associate with the person that controls whether or not the have a job and such...
Yes PLUS it was an honest interaction that gives me an "in" for becoming a regular if I want it. There's enough there worth drawing that I will try it. Who knows, maybe even sell a painting someday?Quote: i would go there next time have some drawings of the bar and talk to the owner as soon as i got there too DHV to the hired guns then just make them qualify to you...
I'd continue with the owner if he's there, but I see no rush. Serious drawing is going to take 2 hours. The whole point is my own "art props" set the frame totally on my terms.
