Well since she is a freshman and you are a sophmore you already got a huge plus because freshman girls strive to be with older guys. Is she in any of your classes? If she is just ask her a question about something to do with that class and then just do your thing with little negs here and there and show good body language by not leaning in to her or anything. If she isn't in your classes she might find it weird if you just walk up to her and say 'hey whatsup im cody'. I would just wait until she is with someone you know and that way you can go up to that person while they are with her and get introduced. Hope this helps
