Post subject:  opening from asking directions?
I tend to be in a situation where I need to ask directions a lot, of course I ask the cute girl over the 50 something guy, might end up in a few words of conversation but usually unless the other person wants to continue the conversation it feels very forced to try anything myself. Am I missing some kind of routine or technique to capitalize on these easy opens?

just continue the convo and check for ioi's. try to be funny. maybe make a joke about watever it is ur lookin for, if she laughs, dats an ioi, neg her about her laugh, ask her if she bought it on ebay..lol, if she keeps laughin ur doin good...then give her a light compliment, and maybe start some light kino..after that...fluff talk, introduce yaself, false time constraint, and # close.
if she doesnt laugh after the ebay joke, neg her again and say what u cant take a joke, are u always this serious..but being playful ;)

Just ask her whether or not she works as some kind of tourist guide and that you like to a tour with her to the next coffee shop or so.
